Strength & Valor hybrid health and wellness Hybrid method of training, massage, and rehab to in order to improve overall lifestyle

30/10/2025

A little behind-the-scenes from the other day.
We had in the studio for a 2+ hour demo, walking us through their full performance + rehab technology suite — including HumanTrak, which analyzes how you move, not just how strong you are.

HumanTrak maps posture, rotation, hip shift, trunk control, and how your body compensates during everyday movements like bending, reaching, lunging, and squatting.
It gives us a visual breakdown of what’s actually happening — so training and rehab can be truly individualized, not educated guessing.

We’re not making any decisions yet — just doing our homework and continuing to explore tools that help our clients move better, feel stronger, and progress with clarity.

Just planting seeds. 🌱
Would you get a movement assessment like this?

A little behind-the-scenes today.
We had VALD Health come through and demo the Dynamo — a system that measures real strength and asymmetry, so training and rehab decisions are based on data, not guessing.

We’re always looking for ways to make our process even more intentional — especially when it comes to injury recovery, building balanced strength, and long-term performance.

Not saying anything yet…
Just know we’re exploring. 👀

Would you want your strength tested like this?

Introducing the Strength & Valor Youth Athletic Development Program ⚡️

An 8-week progressive training program built to help kids ages 7–14 develop athletic strength, speed, coordination, and confidence.

This isn’t a league or day camp — it’s a structured performance program designed to teach kids how to move better, control their bodies, and build the foundation to excel in any sport.

Each 8-week cycle builds on the last, so athletes can continue developing year-round as they grow stronger and more capable.

📍 Dumont, NJ
🗓️ Wednesdays 6:30–8:00 PM
🗓️ Fridays 6:00–7:00 PM
👥 Limited spots available this cycle (10–12 athletes)

Additional days may open based on demand, giving more kids the opportunity to develop through the program.

This movement blends upper-body tension with deep core control. It’s a great way to address neck or shoulder discomfort, postural imbalances, and forward head positioning while reinforcing mechanics that benefit even the strongest, most active people.

Using two 10 lb Crossover Symmetry bands, the goal is to maintain full back contact with the floor while resisting the band tension overhead. Each rep builds stability through the trunk and shoulders without overloading the neck.

What it builds:
• Core stability and anti-extension strength
• Shoulder integrity and postural control
• Better rib cage–pelvic alignment for long-term spinal health

Movement isn’t about doing it right it’s about creating awareness, building control, and expanding how well your body can handle different positions under tension.

‘Oh my god, I needed that.’ 💆‍♂️
That moment when your body finally lets go of what it’s been carrying… This is what true recovery feels like.

Val has a gift for holding space. 🌿
She doesn’t just guide movement — she creates safety, healing, and release. Today’s Thai session went beyond stretching. It opened space for years of emotion to finally be let go. ✨

Her kindness, sensitivity, and heart shine in these moments, and it’s why her work is so much more than technique. It’s care in its truest form. ❤️

She runs a business.
She trains hard.
She shows up every day.

And even the strongest need recovery. 💆🏽‍♀️✨

I give her a hard time… but there’s purpose behind every rep.

With spondylitis and a micro fracture history, these drills aren’t just “core work” — they’re about retraining her nervous system to stabilize, protect, and move with confidence.

The Supine Pallof Hold + Banded Dead Bug checks all the boxes:
⚡ Anti-rotation → protecting the spine under tension
⚡ Hip stability → knees out, feet resisting the band
⚡ Neurological control → teaching the core to fire in the right sequence

It looks like a small movement, but mastering this has huge carryover for her strength and long-term spinal health.
And yes — I’ll still joke about Pilates while she’s doing it 😂

That’s coaching with care, the Strength & Valor way.

30/09/2025

She’s growing tired of my sh*t… but she stays for the coaching and the care 😂

We started this session with some jokes about her “black eye” (spoiler: she bumped into a cabinet, but I couldn’t resist giving her a hard time). That’s the relationship — a little sass, a lot of respect.

From there it’s all business:
⚡ DNS Star Side Plank with bands at the knees and in the hands
⚡ Hips back, knees out, core tight
⚡ Pelvic floor, scapular stability, and anti-rotation all working at once

It looks like a side plank, but it’s a full-body lesson in stability.
That’s Strength & Valor — real coaching, real cues, and yeah… a little trash talk along the way.

Most people see a pregnant woman with a barbell and think: “Is that safe?” The truth: with the right progressions, coaching, and context, squatting in the 3rd trimester can be not only safe but highly beneficial.

Here’s why we kept barbell box squats in Courtney’s program:
• ✅ Strength matters for labor & recovery — squats train hips, glutes, and core endurance.
• ✅ Controlled box depth gives her a safe target and limits excessive strain.
• ✅ Barbell on the upper back is stable when posture muscles are primed beforehand.

That’s where this banded shoulder press comes in: we activate her upper back, ribs, and posture control so she can create a strong “barbell shelf” and squat without arching her low back.

Pregnancy training isn’t about doing less — it’s about preparing smarter.
With the right cues and setup, movements like this can support mom’s strength, posture, and confidence heading into delivery.
