Nature knows how to rest.

In winter, it doesn’t force productivity, it turns inward.

What if you did the same?

This season invites you to descend into your inner world.

To notice what’s been buried, what’s asking to be felt, and what part of you wants to come home.

It’s not a breakdown. It’s a sacred pause.

Midlife has a way of shaking things loose.

Even when life looks good on paper, something deeper starts stirring. A hunger for meaning. A need for change.

That’s not a crisis. That’s an invitation.

We’re exploring The Book of Shadow Work by Keila Shaheen this January.

If you’ve been feeling the edges of your old self no longer fit, this book may speak to you.

It’s a free book club. You’re welcome here.

Not all growth comes from doing more.

Sometimes it comes from pausing long enough to listen.

As the year ends, these 5 simple reflection questions can help you make space for deeper clarity, not just checkboxes.

Ask yourself:
What surprised me?
What repeated?
What’s ready to be released?

This is how transformation begins from the inside out.

At some point, most of us feel the tension between getting things done and staying connected to what matters.

That pull between strength and care, the Warrior and the Caregiver shows up often in leadership and midlife.

When one takes over, we burn out or lose ourselves trying to hold everything together.

Real leadership happens when those two energies start working together.

I wrote about this balance and how learning to hold both drive and compassion can shift how you show up at work, in relationships, and with yourself.

“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.” ~ Carl Jung

This quote hits different when you're in the middle of a tense conversation.

Often, our strongest reactions are invitations to go inward.

To ask: what is this person showing me about me?

It’s not always easy, but it is always revealing.

We often put off the deeper work until something finally cracks open, a moment of truth, a restlessness that won’t go away.

Shadow work helps us turn toward that restlessness with compassion.

This January, we’re reading The Book of Shadow Work by Keila Shaheen not to escape who we’ve been, but to meet the parts we’ve forgotten.

It’s a free book club.
You don’t need to finish the book.
You just need to be curious.

Fear isn’t a flaw, it’s part of being human.

But how we relate to it makes all the difference.

In my work, we don’t try to “get over” fear.

We learn to sit with it, listen to it, and see what it’s pointing toward.

This is what shadow work is really about, turning toward what feels uncomfortable and finding the wisdom inside it.

Every time you meet fear with awareness, you take a small step toward freedom.

You may be feeling a kind of quiet unease right now.

Like something’s shifting under the surface.

That’s not just the stress of the holidays. It’s the deeper invitation of this time of year.

The Old Self, the version of you shaped by expectation, achievement, or caretaking is starting to soften. And a truer, quieter part of you is beginning to emerge.

It doesn’t always come with answers. Often it begins with a question:
✨ What needs to end so something new can begin?

If you’re sitting in that space, you don’t have to do it alone.

There comes a time when success starts to feel… incomplete.

When we start asking deeper questions about who we are, and who we’ve become.

This January, we’re reading The Book of Shadow Work by Keila Shaheen, a gentle, powerful guide to exploring the parts of ourselves we’ve long ignored.

You don’t have to be “into books” to join.
You don’t even have to finish the book.
This is simply an invitation to slow down and reflect without pressure or performance.

It’s a free book club. Come as you are.

Thanksgiving isn’t always perfect, but it has a way of reminding us what matters.

I’m thankful for the small stuff this year, people who listen, laughter that breaks the tension, quiet mornings, and second chances.

Hope your day brings a little peace and something that makes you smile. 🍂
