"Begin challenging your own assumptions. Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in. " ~ Alan Alda

Our assumptions are like windows they let us see, but sometimes they need a good cleaning.

Old stories, habits, or beliefs can start to blur our view without us realizing it.
When we take time to question them, gently, without judgment, things start to look clearer.

That’s how awareness grows: not by changing everything, but by seeing with fresh eyes.

We’re quick to thank others for their help, their kindness, their time.

But we rarely thank ourselves.

That small act of appreciation matters.

It’s not about ego, it’s about presence.

It’s how you notice your own effort, resilience, and care.

When you stop waiting for permission to feel proud, something inside you softens.

You realize you’ve been showing up for yourself all along.

Try this:
Write one sentence that begins with, “Thank you, me…”

And mean it.

This isn’t about “self-improvement.” It’s about getting honest with yourself, seeing the patterns that run your life, and finding freedom in authenticity.

We’ll talk about:
- What “the shadow” is and why it matters
- How to work with anger, fear, or shame without letting them take over
- Recognizing triggers and patterns
- The power of living true to yourself

We all wear masks, the professional one, the steady one, the one that keeps things running.

Those roles once helped us succeed. But sometimes, they start to feel like armor.

In this week’s blog, I write about the persona, the social mask we build to belong and how we can live with it more consciously.

You don’t have to tear it off.

Just notice it. Loosen it.

Let a little more of you come through.

Every action you take is like a vote for the person you will become. ~ James Clear

Every action you take is a small vote for the person you’re becoming.

It’s easy to wait for big moments to change our lives, new jobs, new relationships, new beginnings.

But most transformation happens quietly, in small daily choices that no one else sees.

Each time you choose awareness over autopilot, honesty over habit, or compassion over control, you’re shaping a life that feels more like your own.

Little by little, those small votes add up and something true begins to take root.

Gratitude isn’t always easy.

Sometimes it takes time, showing up only after the hard part has passed.

The shadow side of gratitude is where growth quietly lives.

It’s not about glossing over pain or pretending things are fine.

It’s about seeing how even the difficult moments can shape something meaningful.

What’s one hard experience that, over time, revealed something valuable?

“The quieter you become, the more you can hear.” – Ram Dass

This quote always lands for me, especially in seasons where life feels full, loud, or uncertain.

We live in a culture that rewards noise.

Talking over listening.

Producing over pausing.

Fixing over feeling.

But here’s the thing:
So much of what we truly need direction, clarity, peace isn’t hiding somewhere out there.

It’s underneath the surface.

Quiet isn’t a luxury.

It’s a way back to what’s real.

And when you give yourself even a little space to soften… the truth often rises on its own.

Have you noticed that something’s shifting?

Maybe what used to feel secure now feels too small.

Maybe you’re craving meaning more than achievement.

This isn’t a breakdown. It’s a transition, va sign that your inner life is growing faster than your outer one.

Change has its own kind of wisdom. It knows when it’s time to move you forward, even if you don’t feel ready.

The work is to stop fighting it and start listening.

Something deeper in you already knows the way.

👉 Let’s explore what this season of change might be showing you: https://loom.ly/f2RxJuI

"A shadow is never created in darkness. It is born of light. We can be blind to it and blinded by it. Our shadow asks us to look at what we don’t want to see." ~Terry Tempest Williams

This line always stops me.

We tend to hide what we think doesn’t belong.
But the shadow is never the problem.
It’s the light we’re avoiding that makes it so hard to face.

If something’s showing up right now, anger, envy, discomfort, it might not be wrong.
It might just be revealing something you’re ready to see.

Have you noticed how change rarely asks for permission?

It shows up quietly, a job that no longer feels right, a relationship that’s shifting, a sense that the old way just doesn’t fit anymore.

It’s uncomfortable, but it’s also sacred.

Because every ending carries the seed of something new.

Alchemy is simply learning to work with that process to stop forcing things back into old shapes, and start trusting what’s ready to grow.

If that resonates, you’re not alone.

This is the work I love most, helping people turn change into clarity.

We carry more than we realize.

A phrase we say.

A habit we didn’t question.

A feeling that doesn’t quite belong to us.

Today is a gentle reminder:
Some of what lives in us is older than we are.
And it deserves a moment of quiet honoring.

Light a candle.

Remember someone you still feel.

That’s enough.
