We are finally promised some moisture here in Colorado after a very long dry spell.

There is a metaphor in that for the way we seek support. When we’ve been "running dry" for too long—trying to carry the weight of parenting, career transitions, or anxiety on our own—our internal landscape can get a bit brittle. We get used to the hardness, but it makes growth nearly impossible.

Sometimes, the "moisture" we need is simply the space to be heard.

I’m reaching out this week to parents of children aged 5–12. If your family has been in a dry season of ADHD challenges, school stress, or big emotional shifts, I’m here to help you soften those patterns and find a new way to thrive together.

The daffodils and hyacinths are in full bloom here, and my sister has been lost in her garden all week. Spring does so well in providing a model of renewal and inspiring growth—and just as my sister can attest, supporting that growth takes a bit of work.

The cherry blossoms beginning to bloom here in Colorado are a reminder that renewal is always possible.
At any point, we can choose to begin again — to approach life with fresh perspective, new intentions, and a little more compassion for ourselves.
In therapy, we do similar work. We gently examine the patterns that kept us surviving, reframe the experiences that shaped us, and begin creating a new way forward.

I’m reaching out specifically to parents of children aged 5–12 today. This age range is such a significant window of growth, but it can also be a time of intense overwhelm—for both the child and the parent.
