Thursday evening, during the open house of our new facility and our two year celebration, we had the honor of dedicating a very special addition to our sensory gym: Colton’s Rock Wall.

Trace and Dena Sherrill, founders of Colton’s Run, have long been incredible supporters of the work we do for children and families in our community.

Wanting to give something meaningful to the children at The Owen Academy, they generously purchased our rock wall so our kids would have a fun and empowering space to climb, explore, and build confidence.

In memory of their son, we proudly dedicated and named it Colton’s Rock Wall.

Every child who climbs this wall will be reminded that they are strong, capable, and brave- just like the spirit behind it.

Trace and Dena’s generosity ensures that Colton’s legacy will live on through the joy, laughter, and victories of the children who climb a little higher each day.

We are deeply grateful to the Sherrill family and to Colton’s Run for their continued support and for allowing us to honor Colton in such a meaningful way.

A shared space where our kiddos gather for lunch in a fun 50’s-inspired setting. Think classic diner vibes, bright energy, and a space designed for connection.

Even lunch at The Owen Academy is intentional: building social skills, independence, and confidence… all with a little rock-n-roll flair. 💙🎶

Two years. 💙

This week we celebrate TWO incredible years of The Owen Academy, and we do so proudly as Durant’s FIRST ABA clinic.

What started as a dream has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined.

For the last four weeks, our owner, her family, and a few amazing extra hands have poured their hearts into preparing our brand new space, decorating each room to be absolutely AMAZING for our kiddos, our staff, and the families we serve.

✨ 7,500 square feet
✨ 24 security cameras for enhanced safety
✨ Individualized therapy rooms
✨ Shared therapy spaces
✨ Incredible staff lounges/locker rooms
✨ An AMAZING new sensory gym
✨ So many more amazing things you’ll just have to see in person at our Open House 😉

Every detail was created with intention.

Monday morning, our team will gather for advanced in-service training by our BCBAs: sharpening our skills, running through our systems, and preparing our hearts — so that when our clients walk through the doors Tuesday morning, everything is ready for them to thrive.

And because at The Owen Academy we know the truth…

⭐️ Help us welcome a new addition to our team of incredible R.B.T.’s, Preslee!

Hi friends! My name is Preslee, and I am an RBT at The Owen Academy!

I am a freshman at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where I am a part of the cheerleading team and the John Massey Leadership Scholars program.

My major is nursing, as I plan to become a pediatric psychiatry nurse. I come from an ABA background and have been at The Owen Academy since December 2025.

As an RBT, I love coming to work each day and creating a safe and fun environment for these kids. Building bonds with them and seeing their progress is truly amazing.

I strive to make each child feel special and advocated for. My experience with The Owen Academy has been like no other. The energy and love this team carries is so encouraging.

As part of the team, we want every child to feel heard and loved. We are also truly supported by our management.

Every day, I feel encouraged and know I always have someone to go to if I need anything. I truly love this field and my job!
