Influencers will make “just do 2 exercises to heal your leaks” super s3xy, but the truth is your body is not an Amazon prime deal, healing chronic bladder leaks and pelvic pain takes work!
If you are frustrated because bladder leaks are holding you back from -
* a stronger core
* a bigger PRs in the gym
* Improving your 10k time without soaking your pants
You aren’t alone! This is a common frustration for many of the active women I help.
Its important to know that healing chronic pelvic floor issues & building your body’s capacity is not gonna happen overnight or just because you-
* stretched once
* did your exercises 2x
* went to bed early once last year
Many of the women I help see me as a 2nd or 3rd opinion and have previously be treated with the traditional medicine approach— which just looks at you as your back pain or pelvic floor diagnosis.
The biggest challenge with looking at you as just your “back pain” or “pelvic pain” diagnosis is that it misses all the contributing factors that play a role in why your pain signals & bladder issues keep talking to you in the first place!
One size fits all solutions often fall short because they miss the unique circumstances for you as an individual and I believe in taking a holistic approach that looks at the whole person, not just the symptoms, educates them on better body & brain habits so that they have a deep understanding how to collect data for themselves and build the practices that lead them to the resilience to handle more.
Working together we will talk about
✅what other injuries have happened to your spine & hips
✅what your planning around food looks like & why you are too busy to eat
✅why you’re skipping the restorative exercises you said you would do (& subsequently putting your own needs on the bottom of your to-do list)
All of which impacts the health of your pelvic floor!
And this is why I am proud to help active women who are frustrated with pelvic pain and leakage get to the root of the issues so that they don’t just heal it,
but also learn how to equip their body with better better to build resilience so that they can workout harder, recover better —even with a hectic schedule.
