As we continue highlighting the team behind meaningful progress, this week we’re recognizing our Registered Behavior Technicians.

Our Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism, bringing individualized treatment plans to life each day.

They:
✔️ Implement goals developed by the BCBA
✔️ Help children build communication, social, and daily living skills
✔️ Create engaging, motivating learning environments
✔️ Collect and record behavior data
✔️ Collaborate closely with families and supervising BCBAs

Whether in the home, clinic, or community, RBTs are building skills in real-life settings, supporting progress where it matters most.

We’re grateful for the consistency, energy, and compassion they bring to every session. 💙

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, this simple rainbow craft brings a little extra color and joy to the day. Sometimes the simplest activities turn into the most meaningful moments. A little color, a little imagination, and a lot of fun together.

One fish, two fish, there is a book for every child. 📚

The right story can help a child feel seen, process something new, and know that they are not alone. This Dr. Seuss Week, we are sharing a few of our favorite reads for children and families navigating this journey together.

College basketball isn’t the only thing highlighting great teams this March. 🏀 At Kind Behavioral Health, we’re kicking off our own Team Spotlight series and first up: our BCBAs.

Behind every personalized treatment plan is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst thoughtfully assessing skills, setting meaningful goals, analyzing progress, and supporting both families and RBTs along the way.

Our BCBAs:
✔️ Conduct behavioral assessments according to needs of the client
✔️ Design individualized treatment plans of care
✔️ Provide parent training
✔️ Supervise and mentor RBTs
✔️ Adjust programming based on meaningful data

Their clinical leadership helps ensure every client receives compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to their unique strengths. We’re grateful for the expertise and collaboration they bring to our team every day. 💙

“Jenna has been an incredible addition to the Concord Crew. We had an incredible time at the NCABA Conference this past week! 💙 From connecting with colleagues to celebrating the work happening across our field, it was a meaningful few days for our team.

Several of our team members presented research posters, and we couldn’t be more proud of their hard work and dedication to advancing high-quality ABA.

A special shoutout to Ethan and Jenny for being selected as NCABA Technician Scholarship recipients, both are stellar RBTs, and this recognition is so well deserved. 👏

And a huge congratulations to Sydney for being elected NCABA Student Representative! We’re excited to see the impact you’ll continue to make.

Meet Lora, our new Durham Clinic Director! 💙

Lora has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2017 and became a BCBA in 2020. She brings experience from multidisciplinary clinic settings in the Chicago area, along with a strong commitment to autonomy, neuro-affirming care, and helping children build meaningful connections. She especially enjoys supporting social skill development and helping learners discover new ways to communicate and engage with the world around them.

As Clinical Director, Lora is passionate about collaborating with fellow BCBAs and supporting supervisees through reflective, relationship-based supervision. She’s excited to help her team grow while continuing to provide thoughtful, individualized care for the families we serve.

Having recently moved from Chicago to Durham, Lora is looking forward to getting to know the community, alongside her beagle, Tilly.

We’re so excited to have Lora leading our Durham clinic and supporting families across the area.

The first year after an autism diagnosis can bring a wide range of emotions along with a lot of new information to take in. If you’re feeling uncertain or simply learning as you go, you’re not alone. This season is about understanding your child more deeply and finding support that aligns with your family’s values.

There is no single timeline and no one “right” way forward. Every child’s path is unique, shaped by their individual strengths, support needs, and interests.

With caring relationships, shared understanding, and a team that truly partners with you, what once felt overwhelming can begin to feel steadier and more manageable one thoughtful step at a time.
