Behind the Walls:
We understand how exciting it is to be building a brand new home, and we want our pre-sale clients to have opportunities to celebrate that! One of those ways is actually a little trick we learned from Habitat for Humanity. As part of the electrical walk-through, we invite homeowners to leave a little piece of themselves behind the drywall. Whether it’s a family motto, a favorite scripture, or a simple note of gratitude, this is their chance to leave their own private stamp inside the walls.

These are the memories that stay hidden but hold meaning for years to come.

We love all the stages of construction, but there’s certainly something satisfying about the stage when the finishing touches start to take shape. Especially when it is on a brand new product for us - the first of our new collection of 1200 square foot small-lot homes!

Our team was hard at work pouring the driveway and sidewalk at this Astor plan in Forrestal Place. It's the kind of work that gives you that "it's really happening" moment.

ALL of the closets in ALL of our homes are site-built and ready for storage! We thought we’d share a few of the closets installed in some of our recent projects.

Each space is thoughtfully designed with real life in mind—from walk-ins with designated space for shoes, sweaters, and bins, to streamlined reach-ins with efficient shelving. Clean finishes, functional layouts, and just the right touch of detail.

It’s always exciting to see the spaces that add that extra layer of comfort and convenience to a home; we all know a light fixture or an accent wall can be fun and eye-catching, but storage is what makes a house really work.

🌱 One of the many things we love about the community surrounding Forrestal Place is the very impressive Sacred Soil Community Garden. It is a vibrant space where fresh produce, learning, and community come together; and it is just steps away from Forrestal Place!

Whether you’re looking to get involved in sustainable gardening or pick up some fresh veggies, Sacred Soil is a neighborhood gem. I was honored to meet Executive Director Tamette Farrington a few weeks ago, and I can't say enough about all of the great things she is doing and planning at Sacred Soil. 🌍🌿

We are looking forward to scheduling to join her for a workday soon, and we hope you will to! Come be a part of something rooted in purpose and growth. 🌾

Sneak peek at 3621 Bivins Road and we are pretty excited about how it’s all coming together!

Loving the two-tone herringbone tile going down in the primary bathroom. It is just the right amount of contrast and detail; bold but refined.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, the White Oak cabinets deliver clean lines and timeless warmth. Cabinet install days never disappoint!

The last lot on Bivins Road is moving right along—drywall is up and it’s really starting to feel like a home. We love this stage of the project when the rooms start to take shape and you can really imagine how it will live!

This is a Prairie Contemporary twist on our Omstead III floorplan that keeps the 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and second-floor flex space, but adds a large mudroom area and an attached garage — perfect for whatever extra space you need. With 3,743 square feet, this home offers plenty of room while keeping the layout thoughtful and functional.

Cabinet colors can completely change the feel of a home—and we love seeing how different choices bring out each homeowner’s style.

Classic all-white cabinets give a clean, bright look that never feels out of place.

Wood cabinets are a classic, warm, and low-maintenance choice that we are so glad to see popping up everywhere! Walnut, Hickory, and White Oak are all great options for unique, statement piece kitchens.

Two-tone kitchens—be it with the island or upper and base cabinets—add depth and contrast, perfect for making a statement without going over the top.
