Let's talk about something that I personally struggle with and I know some of you do also...
🍏 Mindful Eating: Are You Truly Hungry?
In our busy lives, it's easy to eat while scrolling, driving, or working—and suddenly the plate is empty! But learning to listen to your body's true hunger and fullness cues is one of the most powerful habits for long-term health.
Mindful eating isn't just about what you eat; it's about how you eat.
🛑 Stop, Check, and Ask Yourself:
Before you grab a snack or start a meal, pause and ask yourself these three questions:
1. Am I physically hungry (stomach growling, low energy) or is this a psychological/emotional trigger (boredom, stress, habit)?
2. Am I eating to satisfy hunger or to numb an emotion? (It's okay to feel your feelings!)
3. If I wait 10 minutes, will the urge to eat still be this strong? (Sometimes a change of scenery or a glass of water is all you need!)
Focusing on the moment allows you to truly enjoy your food and recognize the signal that you are satisfied—not just painfully full.
❓ Let's Hear Your Tip!
What is one small, actionable step you take to slow down and practice mindful eating? (e.g., putting your fork down between bites, sitting at the table, turning off the TV).
