ARRM was notified earlier today by the Department of Human Services (DHS) about the two-year 245D licensing moratorium. Like many of our members, ARRM is deeply concerned about this and the impact that it will have on our industry. ARRM responded today with a press release and we have contacted the OIG for additional information. As more details become available, ARRM will keep members apprised of what we know and continue to advocate for our industry.

Happy Founders Day from ARRM! Our Articles of Incorporation were signed on this day in 1970. But today we’re throwing it back to a year of not only great hair and great music, but also the year that our annual conference featured Anne Donnellan and Attorney General Skip Humphrey among its speakers. This archival footage is a testament to what matters most: what’s in the best interest of people living with disabilities is in the best interest of the providers who support them, and when we give providers the tools they need, everyone is better for it. We can’t wait to see how far we can go in the next 55 years. Thank you to all our members for your support: we couldn’t do it without you!

We're celebrating our 55th this month! The first-ever ARRM board meeting was held in the summer of 1970, with our articles of incorporation being signed November 9. We've been digging in the ARRMchives for weeks to find some good throwbacks, so stay tuned all month long!
