🔔 Every notification lights up the brain’s reward center, releasing dopamine — the same “feel-good” chemical linked to pleasurable experiences like food, connection, and even love.
🔔 That tiny hit of pleasure makes it hard to resist checking, even if we’re in the middle of something else.

The truth behind filters & perfection

When we scroll through social media, we often see a highlight reel — carefully curated snapshots of exciting, beautiful, and filtered moments.
It can seem like everyone else is more fun, more successful, more attractive, more everything.

But here’s the reality:
✨ Those images rarely tell the full story.
✨ Filters and perfectly staged photos set unrealistically high standards.
✨ Comparing ourselves to these polished snapshots can quietly wear us down — leading to body image struggles, disordered eating, low self-esteem, and added stress.

It’s human to compare. It’s also human to pause and remember: What you see online is rarely the whole truth.
