A reminder of why we raise money for Tommy's Place - it’s all for these kids and their families. 💛 🍭 🍋 👧🏼

It is with tremendous sadness that we bring you this heartbreaking news that we have lost yet another member of our Tommy's Place Family. Our Tommy's Place friend, 8 year old Emily Butt has earned her angel wings. Emily and her older brother and sister Brendan and Lindsay and all of their family and friends visited us at Tommy's Place in Falmouth in the summer of 2022.

"Emily was an integral part of the Cunningham Elementary School and Milton Community. Known for her quick wit, positivity, generosity, and kind hearted personality, she could often be spotted in the local hockey arenas and around the playing fields cheering on her sister and brother and their teammates. She will always be remembered by her friends, classmates, teachers, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A girl of many passions and talents, Emily always knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to express herself with the utmost confidence. Her creativity, beauty, and sense of fun were always on display when Tik Tokking, listening to music, and practicing dance and gymnastics. Her ability to connect with others and spread happiness even during her challenging times was a rare gift that will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
Family was the cornerstone of Emily's world, and the special bond she shared with her sister Lindsay and brother Brendan was filled with laughter and unconditional love. Emily was always more focused on the well-being of her siblings and parents, and the strength and joy with which she approached every day of her life will always be admired and held dear forever.
Emily's life, though far too brief, was marked by her loving nature, friendly demeanor, and joyous attitude that lifted everyone she encountered. Her spirit will live on forever, and her strength and love will continue to light the way for us all."

We will never stop fighting to give these special kids the comfort and fun they deserve. Emily did not choose or deserve to be in this fight. She deserved to be a kid just like all of the other kids her age.
Rest easy Emily and go peacefully to join your other Tommy's Place friends in a place where there is no more pain...
At Tommy's Place, we will never stop saying your names and you will never be forgotten...

In this little corner of the United States we have lost an astounding 27 family members since beginning this Tommy's Place journey just over two short years ago.
This is all so very wrong and so, so unfair to these innocent kids and their brave families.

Please say a big, huge prayer for Emily, Brendan, Lindsay and their incredibly brave parents Suzanne and Terrence.

$2,562.10 was the 2023 total raised for Tommy's Place
$2,607 in 2022 for Tommy’s Place
$800 (if memory serves me right) in 2021 for Tommy’s Place
2020 No Lemonade stand
2019 close to $300 for Jack’s Pact
2018 (our first lemonade stand) close to $300 for Boston Childrens Hospital

That is $6,569 raised by the Little Lemonade Stand that Could for three different charities. The last three years after covid $5,969 went to Tommy’s Place after deciding they would be the sole beneficiary of the stand. It seems fitting because Tommy started the Falmouth Road Race and the race is the reason the stand does so well. Each year we run the stand for Tommy. For his place. And for the families and kids who have cancer.

Want to do good? Go grab a lemonade kit from Rockland Trust and set up a neighborhood stand. When people know they are giving to a charity they have been very generous..

Go out and do good. It makes you feel good. It makes us so happy to be able to raise money for Tommy's Place.

This is why 💛 🍋 🍭

This one cuts very deeply. It is with extreme sadness that we bring you this devastating news that Tommy's Place has lost yet another family member to this monster before we ever had a chance to meet her. 5 year old Brittney Bliss has earned her angel wings. Brittney and her family had been scheduled to be our very First guests at our new home in Centerville in just a matter of days.

From Brittney's family shared on line...

"With extremely sad and shattered hearts, Brittney earned her angel wings on Tuesday June 6th. As much as we prayed for a miracle, the Lord called her home to him. She was a fighter till the end, and was wrapped in our arms. We are lost and broken, she was the completion to our family. She had an energy about her that drew people in, her comedic timing was impeccable and always made us laugh even in hard times. She truly was the sweetest little girl.
She deserved so much more than this! She was suppose to start kindergarten this fall, we should have been able to watch her grow up, see her sister graduate next year, and just be a kid!
Sadly she will now be forever 5, but the joy and love she received leading up to her birthday was extraordinary. Thank you to everyone that sent her a card or gift, it truly was a bright light during this past month.
I pray that my mom wrapped her in the biggest hug and takes care of our girl, till the day we meet again." 💜

It’s our favorite time of year again!
🍋 🍭 💛 Lemonade stand time. 🍋 🍭 💛
Last year on Road Race day with the help of the public our little lemonade stand that could raised over $2,500 dollars for Tommy's Place. We were visited by some VIPs - Tommy’s Place kids!! Quinn's Army came by twice and it meant so much. Tommy’s Place Kid Brayden!! We saw state troopers. Even Ben Flanagan - winner of the race!

It’s happening! S o a p + l o v e - by Lyla is for sale in The Fisherman's Pantry with part of the proceeds going towards Tommy's Place. We are working on some little anchor soap for our loves over at Little Anchor Boutique as well.

This morning I put together this promotional poster but I’m not sure I did the QR code correctly. Guess there is a learning curve for promoting your daughter’s soap co. 😂

I’ve been out of the work force for quite a while. But we do love making soap!!!
