This iconic 15K in Utica, NY draws in runners from all over — but what you don’t see behind the scenes is the sheer sacrifice it takes to prepare.

It’s weeks (even months!) of disciplined training runs, rain or shine. It’s prioritising nutrition day in and day out — fuelling with intention to support endurance, recovery, and overall wellness. It’s booking regular bodywork to prevent injury and help muscles bounce back. And it’s planning your life around long runs, rest days, and the constant balancing act of training and everyday responsibilities.
