Who am I?

I have never been one to live in a “traditional” manner... I had my eldest daughter in between my freshman and sophomore year of undergrad, and continued school. I hadn’t ever had an experience with therapy until I began college. I saw the value in it, and the harm I was doing myself, by not addressing my own emotional wounds. I am a big proponent of therapy, mindfulness and self care. I radically support the notion of “ being around those who are energy fuelers versus energy drainers. Fast forward nine years after having my oldest, I had my second daughter. I have done my best to live the way I practice.... I realize that my path hasn’t been a direct path to where I am now, and I am still growing myself.

My hopes for counseling patients or mentoring new clinicians is to impart a spirit of authenticity, self love and and grace. “Grace” for not having arrived to your destination, “Grace,” for not doing things in the “order” that mainstream society says you should, and “Grace” for being a perfectly, imperfect human being.
