Irondog An animal charity that raises money through endurance sports Christian Weder and Matthew Beal, co-founders of IRONDOG, are endurance athletes.

Beal is Head of MSU’s Emergency Medical Department, and Weder is a 3rd year veterinary student. Together they realized they could meld their interests in athletics and medicine to the benefit of their patients: IRONDOG was conceived to meet this need. The founders hope to expand the IRONDOG team in the future by promoting exercise and healthy lifestyles while raising pledges for a cause they believe very deeply in.

Meet Buckshot

When changes at home became overwhelming, Buckshot’s stress led to a painful and life-threatening urinary blockage. Thanks to quick care at the MSU Veterinary Medical Center and support from the IRONDOG Fund, Buckshot received the treatment he needed to recover.

Today, he’s doing well — back to lounging, playing, and learning to tolerate his canine sibling.
