On New Yearâs Day in Goa, I met more than a dozen women who travel from their villages to sell their goods at the Mapusa market.
Some have been doing this for more than 50 years.
I was deeply intrigued by them.
Their presence carried a unique kind of beauty and strength. Many of them were in their senior years â still working, still showing up, still leading their families and communities.
Badava, 60.
Sushila, 50.
Sharda, 60.
Primavati, 75.
Laxmi, 70.
Aarti, 44.
Kamal, 65.
I found myself asking:
Were they aging well?
What were their wishes for the year ahead?
What pearls of wisdom could they share about the pursuit of happiness?
Their stories became the inspiration behind this new AgeWell Chats series and workshop launching Summer 2026:
The Art of Happiness.
Watch reel episodes 1-3. New interview reels release weekly.
If you could ask someone 30 years older than you one question, what would it be?
Write it below â Iâm reading every one.
And if you believe we learn how to age well by listening to those who are already doing it, save this post.
