As this Thanksgiving comes to an end I sit here and reflect on all the great things that have happened this year.
Easton Emergency Squad was in a very dark place not so long ago, and over the past year and a half a very dedicated group of people have put their heart and soul into making us what we are today. We restored our reputation and rebuild many relationships in our community.
It is rare to have a team that is truly a family. Some may say a dysfunctional family, but still a family who support each other, look after each other and most importantly tease each other and some times argue like brothers and sisters. In a profession that is sometimes very difficult and emotionally draining having a support system and faith in each other is crucial to providers mental health which is something I personally take very seriously.
As a manager I am so incredibly thankful for every member of our team who “keep the wheels moving” every day. (A wise man used that phrase and it stuck with me as a motivation to keep on going) The compassion, dedication, and commitment to being the best they can be and serve the members of our community to the best of their ability makes me incredibly proud.
I am thankful for the opportunity to lead this team and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us. We are so lucky to have such strong partnerships with our family at Easton Fire department, Williams township fire company, and all our mutual aid companies that come in when we are out on other calls. A very special thank you to our incredible medical directors from Lehigh Valley Health network as well. Our medical directors spend countless hours helping us be the best we can be, through QA, or just taking calls with us and hanging out going over skills. The support from Easton City, Williams Township, all the wonderful council members, and all our big event organizers means the world to us.
Happy Thanksgiving to all! 🫶🏼
