A vision turned into something truly meaningful for our hospital ❤️

The Golden Gala, a dream of Myrna Taylor for several years, became a reality this year through her leadership and the beautiful work of Taylor Event & Designs. Her vision brought the community together for an incredible evening in support of Putnam General Hospital and created a foundation for an event that will continue for years to come.

Through the Gala and additional fundraising efforts, a total of $134,077 was raised to support the Leadership Putnam Power Up Putnam project.

The Leadership Putnam Class of 2026 led this effort with dedication and heart, presenting the check to Putnam General Hospital and the PGH Foundation on March 30, 2026. In addition to their fundraising success, the class spent the day giving back by delivering flowers to patients and providing ice cream to hospital employees, making a meaningful impact throughout the hospital.

These funds will be used to replace a 20-year-old air handler, helping improve comfort and care for our patients and staff.

Because of the success of this event, the Golden Gala will continue annually under the direction of Myrna Taylor and Taylor Event & Designs, with support from the PGH Foundation.

We are incredibly thankful for the vision, leadership, and generosity that made this possible. This is what community looks like.

Making a Difference in Women’s Health

We are incredibly grateful to 100 Women Who Care Lake Country for their generous $10,000 donation to our Mammos Matter campaign!

Because of support like this, Putnam General Hospital has been able to bring advanced mammography technology to our community—providing better comfort, clearer imaging, and earlier detection for the women we serve every day.

This gift continues to make a lasting impact, helping ensure our patients have access to high-quality care close to home.

We were excited to present Putnam General Foundation with a check for $10K yesterday! This money will be used for a new state of the art mammography machine that will surely be a blessing to the women in our communities.
