“My God was my doctor in the hospital! God said He will be our healer in times of sickness and will give us strength when we are weak. I will forever give God all the Glory, honor and praises!” -Cynthia Cullins- Reid

This week, we honor the incredible Monique Dancy, a woman whose journey embodies faith, strength, and resilience — and her beloved late mother, Gyevernia Steps, whose memory continues to inspire hope and courage in all who knew her.

Monique’s story is one of perseverance and divine grace. From donating a kidney to a friend, to losing her mother to breast cancer, and now facing her own diagnosis and double mastectomy — she stands firm, proclaiming, “Through it all, Jesus has kept me.”

Today, we celebrate both Monique and Gyevernia, two powerful women connected through love, legacy, and unwavering faith. Their courage reminds us that while breast cancer may change lives, it can never break the spirit.

Peaceful Purpose Hospice proudly stands in pink this October! 💗

Each Sunday this month, we will honor and spotlight two incredible breast cancer survivors — women whose strength, courage, and grace continue to inspire us all. 🌸
This week, we would like to shine the spotlight on two incredible women: Lori Perry and Kimberly Eskew

As we recognize their journeys, let’s also raise awareness and share important truths:

💡 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
💡 Black women are 40% more likely to die from the disease, despite similar diagnosis rates.
💡 Men can get breast cancer too — about 1 in 833 will be diagnosed.
💡 Most people diagnosed have no family history — around 85% develop it without known genetic links.
💡 Dense breast tissue can make cancer harder to detect, emphasizing the importance of regular screenings and advanced imaging.

This month, and always, we honor the warriors, remember the angels, and encourage early detection and education.

💖 Join us each Sunday as we celebrate survival, strength, and sisterhood.
