Yesterday our ECASD District Wide Chapter had an amazing Earth Day Field Trip to Beaver Creek Reserve, and it was a great experience for our mentees to connect with nature and learn something new together! 🌎🌱❤️🖤❤️🖤 🌎🌱

The mentees had the opportunity to pack and plant their own plants from start to finish, and they were excited to take them home. After that, we explored the Beaver Creek property on a nature walk where we saw some really interesting things along the way — including deer, a beaver, the river, and even areas where a controlled fire had recently taken place. It was a great hands-on learning experience that helped everyone better understand the outdoors and the environment around us.

We also enjoyed dinner from Jimmy John’s, spent time learning more about the opportunities available at Beaver Creek Reserve, and even made a fun ice cream stop on the way home to wrap up the night! 🍦

Huge shoutout to the Beaver Creek Reserve staff for hosting us and making us feel so welcome and right at home. We truly appreciate the time, energy, and experience you shared with our mentees!

❤️🖤We’re excited to kick off our 1st in-person mentoring session with our future leaders at Putnam Heights Elementary School today❤️🖤

Our session will feature a S**G Academy LLC Workout, giving students the opportunity to stay active, build confidence, and have fun while learning the importance of teamwork and healthy habits.

Session Times:
K–2nd Grade: 11:15am–12:15pm
3rd–5th Grade: 12:15pm–2:15pm

Snacks, water, and juice will be provided.
Students should wear athletic attire and shoes for the workout.

We’re looking forward to an exciting start to the mentoring season with our amazing Putnam Heights scholars! 😁❤️🖤❤️🖤😁

🚀 ❤️🖤DeLong Middle School Chapter❤️🖤 🚀

Yesterday’s mentoring session was one to remember! Our mentees had the opportunity to partner with The Children's Museum of Eau Claire to create their very own individual rockets—and they did an amazing job.

With only one demonstration, the mentees showed great focus by listening carefully and paying close attention to the details. After building their rockets, they put their skills to the test by aiming to launch them into a basket for prizes. The excitement, teamwork, and encouragement they showed one another made the activity even more special.

It was great to see everyone engaged, supporting each other, and having fun while learning something new. Huge thank you to the Children’s Museum team for providing such an amazing opportunity for our mentees—we truly appreciate the partnership😁❤️🖤❤️🖤😁

Today’s mentoring session will include The Children's Museum of Eau Claire Hands-On Activity with our mentees as we continue building teamwork and engagement through interactive learning.

Tonight’s mentoring session with our Sherman Elementary School chapter was a great one! 🙌🏾❤️🖤 🙌🏾

Our mentees took on a fun challenge—working together as a team to build Legos without instructions and while staying quiet—and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! 🧩👏🏾 The teamwork, creativity, and focus they showed was impressive to see.

We were also excited to have some of our ECASD District Wide mentees join us. They did an amazing job supporting and encouraging the younger mentees throughout the activity, and it was great watching those connections grow. ❤️🖤

Huge thank you to Ms. Lauren for helping make sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We truly couldn’t ask for a better liaison!

Our educational focus this evening will center around teamwork and collaboration as our POP Future Leaders continue building strong connections and learning how to work together in positive ways. This session will take place right after school, and snacks, water, and juice will be provided.

Grateful for the opportunity for some of our POP mentors — Dre, Willie, and Isaiah — to attend the 1% Conference here in Chicago. 💪🏾🔥

One of the most powerful moments of the day was meeting Dr. Eric Thomas in person. His presence, passion, and energy were real and undeniable — and the way he embraced us reminded us exactly why spaces like this matter. It was more than motivation… it was confirmation. 🙌🏾

Experiences like this continue to fuel our purpose as mentors and leaders, and we’re excited to bring this energy back to the young people we serve.

Yesterday morning with our Memorial High School chapter was filled with creativity, teamwork, and great energy! ❤️🖤

Our Collaboration Activity was a big success, as mentees worked together to build unique LEGO creations and share the meaning behind their designs. It was exciting to see the teamwork, communication, and imagination come to life across the room. We wrapped up the activity by voting on Most Creative, Most LEGO Pieces Used, and Overall Effort — and our mentees definitely showed up strong in every category! 👏🏽

One of the best moments was hearing everyone talk proudly about what they built and how they worked together to make their ideas happen. These conversations continue to build confidence and strengthen connections within the group.

With this being our second-to-last mentoring session of the school year, we also shared updates about upcoming POP summer programming, and there’s a lot to look forward to! ☀️

Shoutout to our Memorial High mentees for always bringing positive energy, creativity, and teamwork to each session. We’re proud of you! 😁❤️🖤❤️🖤😁

Tonight was a special and proud moment for our POP family as we celebrated one of our amazing senior mentees, Adalynn, as she officially announced her next journey after high school — serving our country in the United States Army 🇺🇸

Our Board President, along with several POP mentors, were honored to be present to support her and witness this powerful milestone. Watching our mentees step boldly into their futures is exactly what POP is all about, and Adalynn continues to lead with courage, commitment, and purpose.

Adalynn, we are incredibly proud of you and grateful to have been part of your journey. Your dedication and determination inspire us all. We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish in this next chapter!
