put on quite the event today! It was a joy to be a part of bringing awareness, connection, and celebration to those touched by MS! Shelly is a ray of light. Her spirit for community, her passion for helping others, and her compassion for her fellow human being is unmatched. Astrid and Julie, two badass female powerhouses in the Chippewa Valley, jumped on board with me to bring even more soul, love, and community and it is all because of Shelly! I look forward to next year’s walk and for more collaborations.

Fun fact: Massage therapy services can be paid for via IRIS.

Most families do not know this about IRIS services in Wisconsin.

Many adults with disabilities qualify for IRIS services that help them live independently at home — but most families do not know where to start.

The process usually begins with the ADRC, and from there families are connected with a consultant who helps build a support plan.

But here is the part many people do not realize:

You can choose your own service provider.

That means families are not locked into one agency. They can select the provider that feels like the best fit.

At Summit Supported Living Services, we will be supporting adults in the Eau Claire area starting this May.

Wisconsin introduced the Our Care, Our Options Act (SB1114), a bill that would legalize Death with Dignity. It has already been referred to the Senate Committee on Licensing, Regulatory Reform, State and Federal Affairs. Now we need YOUR help to make sure the committee supports the bill!
