Changing Course, of course!

I am in the process of changing course, stepping in a new direction, aren't we all? We as a culture are always changing, so different than 10 years ago, even 2 years ago. Some changes can be simple and easy to accomplish, others take time, thought and planning. While some are easy to digest, others are hard to swallow or challenging. For example, changing my name when I got married seemed like a simple thing, but I did struggle with that. The last four months I've made huge changes; I closed my massage business to explore new adventures that are less taxing on my body. Giving up my space that I worked out of was harder than I thought it would be, but I survived that. Changes can be in our control or not. My office closing was my choice, things like illness of a loved one or a flood are out of our control. Knowing which changes we have some control over is key. There is no need to expend emotional energy over those things we can't control.

So, back to my pivot. When I closed my doors, I knew I wouldn't be doing massage any more, but what was/is next for me. I started being curious about what lights me up, with my focus on my health and having fun. I took some time relearning how to have fun again. I stayed connected to my women's groups and had lots of conversations about what's next too. After many jigsaw puzzles and murder mysteries, I know where and what I want to go and be! My passion is to help people, kids with breathing problems and save our planet. Moving forward you will see more posts about kids with asthma as well as environmental and social justice concerns.

Change happens all the time! Sometimes it can be easy and sometime we have to hang on tight and keep breathing. But know always, that change is neither good or bad, it just is. And we can always find our bearings wherever we land.

I'm an asthmatic with chronic bronchitis and allergies. I feared I would be short of breath with winds 80mph and 8,000 feet in the air, where the air is much colder, but the 30 second plummet 🪂to 3000 feet was easy, no time to get SOB. What took my breath away was when the parachute opened and the amazing view of earth🌎!

It was thrilling, it was peaceful, I was overjoyed! But I also prepared myself before I jumped. I took my inhaler, tried to stay calm, talked to my instructor and realized there was no way my lungs could react in 30 seconds. So, I jumped! and I landed softly on my t**h. 🫢

I would also love to hear your adventures. 🚴‍♀️🏌️‍♂️🎣🏇🚣‍♀️ If you struggle to breathe, grab my free e-book, 5 Steps to Better Breathing here: https://bit.ly/39TQppj. I would love to answer any questions you have!
