Back camera vs. Front camera progress pics 🤭
A question I get a lot while prepping for my first bodybuilding competition is.. “why are you cutting weight right now? Don’t you do that shortly before competing?”
Answer: I bulked all summer. I fed my muscles with lots of protein, became besties with the stairmaster, and wanted to better prepare my body and hormones for a calorie deficit starting August 21st. I’m not going to “starve myself” weeks before a competition as that can impact someone’s mental health immensely! Majority of bodybuilders know how to do this the right way and through studying Kinesiology at UWEC, I knew I’d be able to confidently coach myself on how to do it. When to bulk, when to cut, what to eat, what to avoid, etc.
From August 21st until now I’ve lost 17lbs on the dot.
I knew I could do it with time and effort. There were areas I worked for years to slim down, but it’s finally all falling into place.🤞
Reminder: you can do it. push yourself past those mental limits. you are amazing.🤍
