This week we celebrate Shea’s 6th Birthday! Shea asked for a “work” theme for his gifts this year, since work is his favorite place. Thank you to all of his client “friends” who make work such a special place for him to do what he does best: care for and snuggle with all of you!
Here are 6 fun facts about Shea this year:
1. Shea learned to play fetch with a frisbee this year! An old dog with new tricks!
2. He takes self-care seriously and is extremely timely in his early bedtimes. Shea usually puts himself to bed by 8pm.
3. Shea learned how to use doggie stairs this year at home. He has a tendency to jump off high furniture and though he was not initially a fan of the doggie stairs, he was amendable with treats and pets. His joints are thanking him as he is in middle age.
4. Shea continues to be the charismatic gentleman he is, even at the vet he was smiling and tail wagging.
5. Every day at work Shea wears a “work shirt”. He has an entire clothing rack of shirts, sweaters, and jackets and he knows he must get dressed to go to work.
6. Shea experienced his first orthopedic injury recently. He will be wearing a full leg brace for the next month or so. (He is getting fitted for his brace the day Lindsay gets her cast off for her broken hand!) Unfortunately, that means he must adhere to no playing with toys or fetch, and this has bummed Shea out. Shea got three puzzles and many new chew toys 🦴 to keep him occupied, and we can’t wait to play with Shea again when his knee heals.
Happy Birthday to the OG, the one and only, Mr. Shea!
