Dear Edgefield,
This is going to be a long one, so first will be the news, then a longer explanation if you wish to read on.
Getting right to the point, I am making the decision to close the spa, final day being January 30, 2026. If you have any in-date gift cards, I will be doing my best to get you scheduled before that last day of operation. If I am unable to accommodate you for any reason, please bring that gift certificate in for reimbursement. The online storefront will continue indefinitely, so any facial products, soaps, oils etc will still be available to be shipped to you. For the remainder of my time here I am unable to see new clients, unless they have a gift certificate. I need to try and leave my schedule open and be available for those gift certificates to be redeemed. I am so sorry for the inconvenience!
Now for the breakdown of the decision…
I apologize greatly to everyone whom this affects. This decision was not made lightly. I have been doing this for the past 11 years of my life. This business has become my life, my identity even. Massage has introduced me to so many people who have grown to mean so much to me! This job has fulfilled my soul with more than I could ever put into words. Which is why this was not an easy decision to make. I have prayed and cried over this for quite some time now and this is what I have concluded… My family comes first! My husband and I have weighed our options, looked at this from every angle and at this point in our life and careers, it will be best for me to help out with the running of his business, which will in turn free up time and be a more flexible position to be the present mom I’ve always wanted to be. I could never thank everyone enough for supporting my small business! Some of you for a long time, some of you more recent, regardless, you made my dreams a reality! This business did not fail. It was thriving in every sense of the word. The issue is this is a service-based industry, which requires me ALL the time to run, and for now my service needs to be to my family.
I realize I am leaving some of you high and dry, without the body work you have become accustomed to. I encourage you to reach out to me for recommendations on where to go or who to see when I am no longer available. I’ve made friends in the industry who help keep me in line, and I know they will be more than happy to help you as well! I wish you all nothing but the best! And thank you for all for your overwhelming support. My biggest hesitation in making this decision was not wanting to let all my clients down. I love you all. I love this town and wish nothing but the best moving forward!
Much Love,
Shelby
