Every house has a story, this is ours.
Part 5:
It’s a time when you want to throw your hands up, give up, cry…
or move.
But just like in 2020 when we doubled down on our city, we’re still here. I have never been more proud to be from Minnesota. It’s my people, my friends and family. It’s knowing they have my back just like I have theirs. It’s random people smiling as you pass, as if to say *I see you right now, we’re in this together*. It’s a lot and if you need to check out for a day you can. I got you.
Photo 1: The TV nook in our primary suite, post renovation. The beauty of a half story is all the eaves and nooks, so we leaned into them and made 3 different zones. A TV lounge spot, the bed wall and the bathroom/closet.
Photo 2-3: The bed wall. New historically accurate windows and built in cabinetry on either side of the bed (in the eaves) makes for a visually dramatic and efficient bed wall. PS: the double drape is my favorite part. So nice to soften the light on that south facing window.
Photo 4: Just before reframing the walls during construction. You can see the two zones for the bed (right) and the TV (left).
