🌿 Where some of my favorite blends begin… 🌿

Not everything I make starts as a product.

Sometimes it starts with a conversation.

Someone reaching out and saying,
“Hey… do you have anything for this?”

Dry skin that won’t calm down.
An itchy scalp… hair feeling off.
Heavy, tired eyes.
Sensitivities. Reactions.
A need that isn’t being met anywhere else.

And we just… start there.

Simple ingredients.
Real conversations.
Trying things. Adjusting. Listening.

That’s actually how a few of my blends came to be.

My original Golden Heat Balm was created for deep warmth and circulation…
but after someone reached out with a sensitivity to cayenne, I reworked it.

Same intention.
Same support.
Just… a little gentler.

And that’s how Golden Warm came to life.

I’ve done this with other blends too—like my Untamed Crown scalp oil… and my Eye Awakening Balm, which was originally inspired by a question about supporting the under-eye area.

Even my Wild Oats Balm started this way—beginning as a simple oat-infused formula for skin that just needed to calm down and be supported.

Just small shifts to meet a real need.

🌿 Why I Double Infuse 🌿

Not all infused oils are created the same.

Most oils are infused once…
and for many applications, that’s enough.

But for certain blends, I take it a step further.

I gently infuse the oil using low heat… strain it…then infuse it again with fresh plant material.

This second infusion deepens:
✨ the richness of the oil
✨ the natural color and aroma
✨ and the overall character of the final blend

It’s a slower, more intentional process—one that allows me to pull more depth from the plants I’m working with.

🌿 Savage Daughter — Honoring the First Mothers 🤍

Today, I honor the Aboriginal women of Australia—
keepers of one of the oldest living cultures on earth.

Women who have lived in deep relationship with the land for tens of thousands of years.

Women who:
– carried knowledge through story, song, and symbol
– understood plants as living allies
– honored the rhythms of nature instead of resisting them
– passed wisdom through generations without needing recognition

They did not separate themselves from the earth— they lived as part of it.

And within that lineage…
there are women whose voices carried that wisdom forward.

Women like Oodgeroo Noonuccal -

A poet.
A truth-speaker.
A woman who refused to let her culture be silenced.

She became the first Aboriginal Australian to publish a book of poetry— sharing the deep connection between her people and the land.

Not just as words…but as memory.

She reminds us—
