🍂 This Time of Year Always Makes Me Feel a Little Ungrounded… 🍂
I don’t know if you feel it too, but around this season my energy starts to shift. The days feel a little busier, and it’s so easy for my mind to run ahead of my body. I catch myself feeling scattered, emotional, or just not fully “in” myself.
When that starts happening, I know it’s time to come back to grounding.
Grounding is simply the practice of bringing your energy, your awareness, and your spirit back into your body.
It helps you feel steady… safe… present… and connected again — instead of floating through your day on autopilot.
When I’m ungrounded, I feel forgetful, overwhelmed, scattered, emotional, or sometimes extra sensitive.
And instead of pushing through it, I’ve learned to pause and reconnect to myself through grounding.
Here’s one way i do that:
🌿 Grounding Technique
1. Sit comfortably and place both feet flat on the floor.
2. Close your eyes and take a few slow, deep breaths.
3. As you exhale, imagine roots like the roots from a tree growing from the bottoms of your feet, moving down into Mother Earth.
4. See those roots traveling deep into the soil — thick, strong, glowing if you want them to — anchoring you, holding you, supporting you.
5. With every inhale, imagine you’re pulling up warm, calming earth energy.
6. With every exhale, let go of whatever feels heavy, chaotic, or draining.
I always feel my whole body soften when I do this. It’s like my spirit slides back into place.
This technique brings me home to myself so quickly.
🌾 Other Ways I Love to Ground:
🌱 Putting my bare feet on the earth
🌱 Touching or sitting with my back against a tree, spending time in nature
🌱 Warm herbal tea
🌱 Taking a mindful shower and imagining the water rinsing away excess energy
🌱 Gentle movement like stretching or swaying and even dancing
🌱 Taking a nice warm Epsom Salt bath with added essential oils like lavendar, frankincense, chamomile, bergamot there are many to choose from
🌱 Deep slow breathing while placing one hand on my heart chakra and other on solar plexus (stomach).
Grounding doesn’t have to be big or complicated.
It’s just a way of saying:
“Okay… I’m coming back to myself now.”
If you’ve been feeling unbalanced, overwhelmed, or disconnected lately — you’re not alone.
This time of year can pull our energy in so many directions.
But with a little intention and a few deep breaths, you can root back into your body, your heart, and your center. 🌿✨
