🎙 Season 2, Episode 3 of The Healthspark is live!

The healthcare workforce crisis is no longer a future concern—it’s a daily operational challenge.

In this episode, I sit down with Beth Raboin, CEO & Founder of Global Medical Virtual Assistants (GMVA), to discuss how virtual staffing is transforming healthcare delivery.

Beth shares her journey from Division I gymnast at the University of Florida to leading GMVA, along with insights from more than 22 years in the surgical device, pharmaceutical, and specialty pharmacy industries.

We discuss how healthcare organizations can rethink workforce models to reduce burnout, protect patient access, and build more resilient operations.

Yesterday we kicked off Spring 2026 Open House at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health El Paso—connecting with future public health leaders and sharing how education drives real-world impact.

Today was all about growth, joining Faculty Development Day at Texas Tech Health to explore strategies for sustaining vitality across the faculty lifespan and turning educational innovation into meaningful scholarship.

A good reminder that strong scholarship—and strong communities—are built through continuous learning, reflection, and collaboration. 🌱📚

I didn’t expect how much this experience would stay with me.

Not because of answers—but because of the questions. The pauses. The moments of listening that changed how I think about leadership and growth.

The 2026 Winter Socrates Program at the Aspen Institute reminded me that curiosity is a discipline, and reflection is a practice. And that the people you learn with matter just as much as what you learn.

Grateful for the new friendships, the meaningful conversations, and the space to grow. Thank you to the Hunt–Aspen Institute and Aspen Conexión for this incredible honor. 🌱

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to step into a season of learning and reflection as a fellow with the Hunt-Aspen Institute. This journey is about expanding perspective, strengthening leadership, and remaining grounded in service. I look forward to carrying these lessons back to the communities and people I serve.

Thank you to Aspen ConexiĂłn for the warm welcome and to the Aspen Institute Socrates Program for creating space to learn alongside thoughtful and committed leaders. I am honored to represent UTHealth Houston School of Public Health and grateful for the support that makes this work possible.
