Ferrell Hospital employees and community members came together to make a huge impact for local youth! We were able to donate a full carload of luggage, hygiene products, kids’ coats, and games/toys to Hope Haven of Southern Illinois. Thank you to everyone who contributed—your generosity makes a real difference.

We’re continuing to support all three drives—Christmas Gifts, Coats for Kids, and the Suitcase Drive—and will accept donations through December 12. A large gray tote is located in the hospital lobby for drop-offs.

Together, we’re supporting the youth in our communities and helping make this season a little brighter. 🎁🎄💙

Last week, Ferrell Hospital celebrated our first-ever Safety Week, and it was a huge success! Our theme this year was Superheroes, and our staff embraced it in every way. 💙

We kicked off the week with Superhero Safety Bingo—congratulations to our winners, Starla Barton and Kathy Hughes from Surgery! Employees also signed our Commitment to Patient Safety banners and attended our Safety Fair.

The Safety Fair featured hands-on training and education covering:
Fire & tornado response plans
Rapid Response
Speak-Up
Decontamination
Infection Prevention
Fall Prevention
Patient Rights..and more!

We also held a department poster contest—congratulations to our winning team, the Emergency Department! Additional participation awards will be given for both individuals and departments.
