Join us for Fleet Feet’s Pub Run on Wednesday, April 1st at 6:30 PM at the Lucky Hatchet! πŸ‘Ÿ

Every Wednesday, the Fleet Feet community gets together for an evening run, and this week the Formed team will be joining in on the fun.

There will be both a 3-mile route and a 2-mile route for all levels. Want to keep it to 1 mile? You can easily do a half-mile out and a half-mile back.

After the run, stick around at The Lucky Hatchet to hang out and connect with other runners in the community.

Be sure to check out Fleet Feet’s website for more information on how to earn points and prizes by attending their weekly Pub Runs!

Did you know shoulder pain is not always a shoulder problem?

Sometimes what feels like a shoulder injury is actually coming from the neck.

While many people do come in with a true shoulder issue, we also see plenty of cases where the neck is the real driver of the pain.

That is why identifying the true source of the problem matters so much.
When you treat the root cause, physical therapy can be much more efficient and effective.

Many runners have done some strength work before, but often it looks like bodyweight exercises or lighter weights for high reps.

What we’re seeing more and more in the research is this:
if your goal is peak performance and injury prevention, runners should be lifting heavy.

And no β€” for most runners putting in solid weekly mileage, lifting heavier does not automatically mean bulking up. The demands of running make that much less likely than people think.

That said, heavier lifting should be approached the right way.
Build into it gradually, use good form, and make sure the exercises fit your body and your goals.

Need help figuring out what lifts to do and how to safely work into heavier strength training? Give us a call.

Happy running and happy lifting! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

Many of our clients come to us in their middle-aged years with a simple goal:
πŸ‘‰ Stay active for decades to come.

During physical therapy, we’re not just helping people get pain-free so they can return to activity. We’re also helping them build habits of physical activity that support their long-term health.

Why does that matter?

Because movement is one of the most powerful tools for healthy aging. πŸ’ͺ

Regular physical activity can:
β€’ Reduce the risk of conditions like osteoporosis and arthritis 🦴
β€’ Improve heart health and circulation ❀️
β€’ Support brain health and cognitive function 🧠
β€’ Help regulate weight and metabolism
β€’ Improve mood through endorphin release 😊
β€’ Enhance sleep quality 😴

All of this adds up to something bigger:
a higher quality of life and greater longevity.

No matter your age, consistent movement helps your body stay strong, resilient, and capable for the years ahead.

Move well today so you can keep doing what you love tomorrow. πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ
