Did you know that nearly 40% of SNAP recipients are in working families, and 37% are in families with older adults and/or people with disabilities?

Suburban Adult Services, an organization that works with adults with disabilities, says that there has been no guidance on how halting SNAP will effect their clients

We had such a fun Halloweekend and loved seeing all of our staff and the people we support dressed up in creative, funny, and spooky costumes!

If you couldn’t already tell, Halloween is a big deal for us and everyone brought their A-game this year.

Thanks to all who joined in on the fun and helped make it such a special celebration. We’re already counting down to next Halloween! 🎃👻🕸️

We’re so proud to celebrate Dan Blasdell as one of sasi’s 2025 Outstanding Performance Award recipients!

Dan has overcome incredible challenges — from alcohol dependency to housing and transportation barriers — and has remained determined, focused, and positive every step of the way. Now more than 24 years sober, Dan continues to inspire those around him through his perseverance and dedication.

He began his employment journey in a sheltered workshop at sasi and quickly earned a reputation for his strong work ethic and positive attitude. Today, Dan is part of our SAGE Janitorial Services team, where he takes great pride in keeping his worksites clean and organized. His coworkers describe him as hardworking, dependable, and always a pleasure to work with.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with family, watching classic rock films, traveling, and getting tattoos. His journey is a true reflection of sasi’s values — Belonging, Integrity, and Growth — and shows what’s possible when people are given the opportunity to thrive.

Year three is officially in the spell books for sasi’s Spook-tacular Halloween Dance!

With nearly 300 RSVPs, this was our biggest celebration yet filled with amazing costumes, dancing, and lots of laughter 🧡

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, our families, volunteers, and community friends who helped make the night unforgettable!
