Newman Regional Health provides award-winning, state of the art healthcare 24 hours a day to patients of all ages in our primary service area which includes all of Lyon County and most of Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee Counties in east-central Kansas. Newman Regional Health is proud to partner with Emporia State University to provide a Baby Rest Stop at this Saturday’s last home football game vs. Fort Hays State!

Whether you need a quiet space to nurse, change a diaper, or just take a break with your little one, stop by our comfortable Baby Rest Stop located at Visser Hall from 11am-end of game, near the Live at the Hive tailgate area.

We’re honored to support Hornet families, because even the tiniest fans deserve a great game day experience! 💛🏈

We congratulate Josey, RN (WLC) on being nominated for The DAISY® Award for Extraordinary Nurses.
Josey received a nomination from a patient who said, "From the moment I met Nurse Josey at 37 weeks pregnant during my first iron IV infusion, I knew I was in good hands. She greeted me with such warmth and kindness that I immediately felt at ease. Her gentle demeanor and genuine care created an instant connection between us.
Our paths crossed again during my second infusion, and once more, she made the experience feel calm and comforting. Nurse Josey has a remarkable way of making you feel seen and heard—she took the time to listen, to reassure, and to ensure I was truly comfortable.
Then came the most unforgettable moment—my delivery. As I labored, Nurse Josey walked into the room to check on me, and just like that, I felt at home. Her presence was like a soothing balm, grounding me in a moment that was both overwhelming and beautiful.

Centrally located within the city of Emporia, Newman Regional Health is a 25 bed governmental entity operated on a not-for-profit basis. Newman Regional Health remains a local hospital; owned by the people of Lyon County and governed by a Board of Trustees made up of community leaders. Newman Regional Health is a teaching hospital and is home to the ESU Newman Division of Nursing.
