I can’t wait to feel like myself again. Moving and dancing, carefree and coordinated without weird aches and pains. But, until then I’ll settle for being a dancing potato with all of the intention of a healthy baby and a smooth birth. Thank you so much for an amazing combination and Be for being my home throughout this process. This baby girl better love to dance as much as we do. .

Give me strength, give me patience, give me peace as I wait for you to join us on the outside. With so much uncertainty it is sometimes difficult to do anything in this waiting space. Luckily time will pass and this will all just be something that you did. Focus on being present and enjoying the space and freedom of today. .

Every exercise can be made more manageable for your growing body. This standing crunch with leg lift can be complex with coordination of the arms, but remove the arms and it’s a little easier. Beach on a Monday morning .move.dance.connect is the best way to start the week. Taking a group class can be difficult as you get bigger and can no longer do all of the moves they do, but, remember, you are welcome to do your own thing. Pregnancy is all about modification not elimination.

After over four months of feeling terrible, I am finally getting some of my energy back. My body and my workouts are different now and throughout this is one of the only times exercises will be systematically regressed, or made easier, as time goes on. With a squat, you can change the position of your arms, use your hands for a little added assistance and if needed slow it down. Listen to your body and be kind to yourself.
