👀What you see:
A 43 y/o female starting weight at 183 lbs at the beginning of the March COVID-19 shutdown along with current weight of 172 lbs in June. Abs are peaking out too!

🙈What you don’t see:
Diagnosed in mid 2019 with “adult onset type two diabetes. In the beginning my fasting blood sugar was over 250” ...

💊”They told me that diet and exercise would help control it but I was having problems so they prescribe medication. I took the medication for about a month and said screw this because it gave me a lot of G.I. problems.”

🥕March 2020:
She started making small changes. Cut out soda, fast food, added sugar. Added in more veggies.

⛷Then she started to exercise by walking her dog daily. Eventually she found what works for her and has been able to stay consistent and is making great progress.

“It’s important to have someone by your side holding you accountable and showing you the results. Because sometimes we don’t see them ourselves ... It’s also nice to have a little cheerleader in your corner saying ‘yeah you can do it! stick with it! It’ll be worth it in the end’ .”

❤️As of today, 15 July 2020, “Fasting blood sugar was 109 this morning!!! 😁 I wouldn’t be where I am without your support and guidance.”

🥰I am very proud of my sister that calls me her “little buddy”😁 she has come so far and is a prime example of the importance of a strong support system.

🍒Whole 30 day 1- meal prep and having a plan is key. **full disclosure** I did have the rest of my sugar free/ fat free bday pudding, from yesterday. Other than that, no problems.

Best part of today has been not measuring out every piece of food I consume 🥳

Dinner tonight, butternut squash/sausage stuffed 🍅. It never looks as good as the picture😂

May was the month of movement. 🏋🏼‍♀️🤸🏽‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️🏄🏼‍♀️

June is the month of nutrition. 🍏🍒🥒🥦🍋🥔🍠🥓🥩🥚Starting Monday June 1= Whole 30.

I’m not a nutritionist and I really dislike doing nutrition challenges solo. Please, hop on board and do this one with me.

If you’re not familiar, whole 30 is more less an elimination “diet”. You cut out common allergy / sensitive foods and at the end of 30 days, slowly add them back in. *If you want.

Easy, right? No, it’s kinda brutal at times but 🤷🏻‍♀️I need a mental reset away from all the scales and meal timing. Maybe you do too?

If you have questions, just ask. Oh yea, it’s free. I’m all about programs that give you everything you need via the google. 😁

I don’t eat fancy but when I make something, I’ll share the recipe.
