I left this as a comment on a lady's post about due date questions. I thought it may be helpful to post on my page here as well 🤍
Did you know this about your due date and the first ultrasound?😊

"The original due date calculated at your first ultrasound (the dating ultrasound as it's called) is your due date. All babies that early (around 7/8 weeks) should measure about the same size (there is no big or small babies at that early on) and this is why the baby is measured and due date determined based on that measurement in order to know how the development should be going from that point on.

Due dates aren't hard and fast rules for the actual birth of your baby, but they are important in gauging the appropriate development/growth of your baby.

I swear time stops when a baby is born. There is something so special about witnessing new life being brought into the world!

I'm thankful I got to be there for Hannah and capture these beautiful images of her newest addition.

Get the birth photos taken. You can't replay this day.

Hire the doula for education and support. Your birth is sacred and worth the effort to prepare for!

👶🩷🩵 Hi friends! I wanted to announce that as a local birth doula (wiregrass area) I'm now offering donation based services to help give expectant mamas who want a doula the chance to have one!

I even offer birth photography included since I am already at your birth as your doula!! 🤍 Orrrrr if you prefer just a fresh 48 photography session, I can do that as well!

Offering donation based pricing allows me to help more women and lets me bring in an income to help out my family! 🤍 (Becoming a doula has been very expensive!)

Even as a doula myself, I couldn't guarantee my birth outcome.

But I was educated. But I was informed. But I was ready for labor and birth.

And because of this, I left my birth without having birth trauma because I knew I did everything I could to make sure I was equipped for all the decisions of labor and delivery.

Education, support, and self advocacy make all the difference in labor and birth.

🩷💞💗 6 months ago I was playing the role of both a doula & sister supporting my sister during her labor and birth of her baby girl, Emery Jade. I snapped this photos on my phone to remember how special the role is of a Dad during birth!

What you may not realize is that doulas don't try to replace your partner.. together we work as a team to support Mom in the best ways possible! 💪 👏

Dad's your role is VITAL in Mom's birth! You provide a sense of security and love! No one loves Mom and baby like you do! Your presence in the birth is what keeps Mom feeling safe!

As a doula I can help guide Dad into many great ways to be there for Mom by offering ways to provide her with both emotional and physical support as well! 🫶

Dad's/birth partners are there to LOVE and support Mom as she goes through the most beautiful and challenging time, the birth of her baby! 👶🩷🩵

A doula is there to offer support and advice as needed, provide comfort measures to cope with labor, advocate for Mom's birth plan to the rest of the care team, and make sure she is always feeling heard and seen during her labor and delivery!
