Taste of Atria: Greece Edition! 🍽️🎬

Every month at Niagara Village, we take a culinary trip around the world — and yesterday we landed in Greece!

We enjoyed delicious gyros 🥙 for lunch, followed by a fascinating documentary about Greece 🇬🇷📽️

Such a fun way to explore new cultures together! 💙✨

Our social series this month is Coats & Kindness, we had an AMAZING day yesterday at our winter fashion show—our residents strutted their stuff and showed off their favorite coats, filling the day with warmth, style, and lots of smiles!🧥💃🕺

As part of Coats & Kindness, we are also hosting a clothing drive to benefit Erie City Mission. We will be accepting donations now through December 1st. If you’d like to contribute, please feel free to stop by and donate any clothing items to support the Mission.🧣🧤

Rainy days call for a bus ride to the Erie Public Library! 🌧️ We got to check out the CLEER Project, the next phase of Gannon University’s Project NePTWNE — a super cool collaboration between students, faculty, and community partners working to protect Lake Erie. 🌊 They’re tackling big issues like harmful algal blooms, water quality, and keeping our freshwater clean and sustainable.

And the best part? We spotted Mark, our bus driver, in the Creative Lab making his own custom coasters! 🎨🚌 Talk about creativity on and off the road!

Honoring Our Veterans✨ 🇺🇸

Today, we proudly recognized the courageous men and women who have served our nation. 🪖 🇺🇸

Gentiva Hospice graciously sponsored a Veterans Ceremony to honor those who have selflessly defended our freedom. During the event, veterans were presented with certificates and commemorative pins in appreciation of their service. 🎖️ Guests also enjoyed light refreshments and the opportunity to share stories and fellowship.

The Country Blue Band provided outstanding musical entertainment 🎶 during the Veterans Luncheon, adding a special touch to a meaningful day of gratitude and remembrance.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Gentiva Hospice for their partnership and to all who joined us in honoring our veterans. Their service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country will never be forgotten.❤️🤍 💙

This beautiful project was created by our very own resident, Reginia! Over the past few months, she photographed more than 50 pairs of hands from members of our community — each one telling a special story about the life and experiences of its owner. ❤️

Our residents had such a wonderful time guessing whose hands were whose and were so excited to spot their own in the display! 👏🖐️
