My kids are the greatest example of play for me. It’s so effortless and natural for them, and at some point we fall away from playfulness. Play requires presence, and I definitely want to be someone who is where her feet are!
As I was getting ready this morning, all 3 of my boys were hiding under my bed shooting my feet with nerf guns. Completely silent. As if I had zero clue where the darts were coming from. I want to be more like them 🩵

We say “I love you” in a hundred different ways. Maybe the work is learning how to receive the small ways the people around us show their care 💞💞💞

The world will always be in a hurry. This is your permission slip to slow down, I promise you’ll still get where you want to be even with a slower pace.

Take 60 seconds today to pause, breathe, exhale, be mindful of where you’re holding things in your body. We need more moments of pause 🤍

One ‘back to the basics’ strategy for me lately has been waking up and journaling. Sometimes 2 sentences, sometimes 2 pages. Starting my day off with coffee and a pen in hand has been refreshing and helpful to ground me for my day :)

What are some fundamentals you may have lost, or that have been faithful to your routine?

When I find a song I love, I play it on repeat—sometimes until it’s worn thin.
Not because I’m bored, but because my soul needs what it’s holding.
I love how music gives language to feelings we don’t always have words for.
This was one of my top songs this year… and I played it exactly as much as I needed to.

We all feel it this time of year…the rush, the excitement, the pressure, the stress, the anticipation… and hopefully, the joy. ✨

Savoring is a practiced posture.

Find the small moments to savor this season, and let yourself sink into them. There’s so much to delight in when we’re paying attention. 🤍

Oof, this one is tough. And also, so much freedom lies on the other side of forgiving ourselves and our own humanity. None of us are exempt from stories big or small that we wish we could do-over. As a mentor recently told me, “love in the moment how you can.”
Others, and yourself. Reprimanding yourself time and time again does not lead to healing ❤️‍🩹

And also, this song on repeat 👏🏼 this will absolutely be in my 2025 Spotify Wrapped 🙃
