To every man and woman who raised their hand.

Who missed birthdays, first steps, and anniversaries.
Who carried the weight of protecting what most of us get to take for granted.
Who came home changed or never came home at all.

Your sacrifice doesn’t go unnoticed.
Your courage built the foundation our families stand on.
You are the reason our children sleep safely at night.

Thank you for your service.
Your strength and your heart.
We see you. We honor you.

Are you a fan of wearing earbuds for hours on end? 🤔

If so, listen up, there's something important you need to know! 👂

Did you know that prolonged use of earbuds can increase your chances of developing wax buildup in your ear canals? 😱 Our ears are incredible self-cleaning systems, and earwax typically finds its way out of the ear canal on its own.
But here's the thing: if you're constantly wearing earbuds, it can disrupt this natural process!

Wearing earbuds all day can interfere with the natural migration of wax, leading to buildup in your earbuds and potentially in your ears, too. If you notice wax building up in your earbuds or experience any discomfort, it's time to have your ears checked for wax buildup.

Don't let wax get in the way of your hearing health!💙

👂 In our hearing aid lab, we prep, clean, and check every device so it’s ready for you. This is also where we repair the hearing aids that are walked in!

All of our patients say once they have experienced the difference hearing aids make, it’s hard to go even a day without them! That’s why at Haas Hearing, we understand how important your hearing is to your daily life, and we do our best to provide same-day repairs whenever possible. 💪

Because your hearing matters, and so does your time!

Fall is here, which means cozy sweaters, pumpkin spice… and noisy leaf blowers! 🍂

Did you know these machines can reach up to 100 decibels? That’s loud enough to cause hearing damage.

Protect your ears by wearing earplugs or noise-reducing earmuffs when tackling yard work this season. Your hearing will thank you later! 👂✨

Good read! 😃

At 71, Toni Ganguzza said she has been undergoing hearing tests for the last two decades after she noticed she was missing out on conversations.

October is not only Audiology Awareness Month, it’s also recognized by the National Institutes of Health as National Protect Your Hearing Month!

As you probably know, exposure to loud sounds can cause permanent hearing damage in just a matter of minutes. However, a lot of my patients don’t know that moderately loud noise exposure for a long period of time can also cause just as much damage!

For example, environments as loud as a hairdryer or vacuum cleaner, if exposed over 8 hours per day, can cause hearing loss. These aren’t instantly damaging, but daily, extended exposure without hearing protection can cause permanent hearing loss over time, especially in kids, teens, and people working in noisy environments.
The good news: protecting your ears doesn’t have to be complicated. Simple steps like wearing earplugs when using power tools, mowing the lawn, or attending a concert can go a long way in preserving your hearing!

5 years ago, this was a dream. Today, it's a reality because of your support, trust, and love. Thank you for being part of our journey! ✨

Because of your support, we have been able to give back to our community in many ways. This year's charity of choice was Pink Pumpkin of Delta County. Please show your support to them on October 4th for their annual pink pumpkin 5K! 💗

As audiologists, we spend a lot of time studying the connection between hearing and the brain. While research is still ongoing, we do know this: the more we hear, the more our brains stay engaged. The more we stay engaged, the more we participate in conversations, connect with loved ones, and stay active in our daily lives.

We also see the emotional side of hearing loss every day, the way people start to pull back, skip social gatherings, or feel exhausted from trying to keep up with conversations. It's not just about missing sounds; it's about missing moments.
If you’ve been feeling more isolated or noticing that conversations are harder to follow, please know you’re not alone, and it’s not something you just have to live with. Getting your hearing checked is a simple first step toward staying connected and confident.

We’re here to support your hearing and your well-being, because they go hand in hand. 💗

“Can you say that again?”

If you’ve found yourself asking this more often lately, you’re not alone. I frequently have grandparents' comment that it’s hard to understand their grandchildren.

High-pitched voices, like those of children, can be especially difficult to hear clearly, especially when soft consonants like “s,” “f,” or “th” start to fade into the background.
In many cases, hearing changes happen gradually over time, and it’s easy not to notice until those special little voices become harder to understand.
