Cold weather can be tough on hearing aids.

If your devices sound weak, cut out unexpectedly, or seem to be draining batteries faster than usual, winter moisture or temperature changes may be to blame.

The good news? Many winter-related issues can be resolved with a professional cleaning, drying, or minor adjustment. In some cases, though, repeated problems can signal that your technology is nearing the end of its lifespan.

Will you be socializing with others this holiday season? Remember your good communication strategies!

👍 Use speaker clues: You can say something like, “I think you said something about eating dessert, is that correct?”

👍 Rephrase instead of repeat, they can change a sentence from “I really like all of your decorations” to “Those lights that you hung in the living room look very nice.”

👍 Ask the speaker to slow down their rate of speech.

Can you hear your family but don't understand what they are saying? I think I know someone who can help you with that! 😉

Are you a fan of wearing earbuds for hours on end? 🤔

If so, listen up, there's something important you need to know! 👂

Did you know that prolonged use of earbuds can increase your chances of developing wax buildup in your ear canals? 😱 Our ears are incredible self-cleaning systems, and earwax typically finds its way out of the ear canal on its own.
But here's the thing: if you're constantly wearing earbuds, it can disrupt this natural process!

Wearing earbuds all day can interfere with the natural migration of wax, leading to buildup in your earbuds and potentially in your ears, too. If you notice wax building up in your earbuds or experience any discomfort, it's time to have your ears checked for wax buildup.
