Rotor safety isn’t optional—it’s critical every time we approach an aircraft.

In this photo, you can see a controlled approach into the rotor disk under the direction of trained crew. The rotor system may look calm, but those blades are moving fast and can dip lower than expected, especially on uneven surfaces or during load changes.

A few key reminders:
• Always approach from the front, in clear view of the pilot
• Never walk toward the tail rotor ever
• Stay low and secure loose items
• Wait for a signal from the crew before entering the aircraft

At Guardian Flight, safety is built into every step, on the ground and in the air. When seconds matter, doing things the right way matters just as much.

🌟🚁 Flight Crew Friday: New Crew Alert 🚨 🩺

This week, we’re excited to introduce one of our newest crew members, Brody! With 7 years of EMS experience, Brody brings both strong clinical knowledge and a deep connection to the community he serves.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to take the next step in my career while continuing to care for the people of this area.

I’m proud to call this place home. My roots here run deep, and it means a lot to give back to the community that shaped who I am today. Outside of work, I’m a husband and a dad to an amazing daughter, and my family is my biggest motivation in everything I do.

When I’m not on shift, you can usually find me at a concert, out hunting, watching sports or spending quality time with family and friends. Those moments keep me grounded and remind me why this work matters.

As I step into this role, I’m committed to being a strong clinician, always learning, and providing the highest level of care possible. I’m truly excited to serve this region and be part of a team dedicated to making a difference when it matters most.”

We’re proud to welcome Brody to the team and are excited for the impact he’ll make in the air and in our community! 👏

✈️ 🤝 Inspiring the Next Generation of Flight Medicine Professionals! 🤝 ✈️

Friday, our Guardian Flight - Iron Mountain, MI (IMT) and Hancock (CMX) sister bases had a great time participating in the Dickinson County Area Health Care Career Day at Bay College West Campus. They spent the day with 10th graders from Kingsford, Iron Mountain, Niagara, Florence, and North Dickinson, sharing insight into careers in air medical transport.

Students took part in a mock MCI/Triage scenario and watched demonstrations of critical skills including tourniquet application, IO access, and intubation. They also talked about the education, experience, and teamwork required to become a Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic, or Medevac Pilot.

💫It was an awesome opportunity to work together and help inspire the next generation of healthcare and aviation professionals. Thanks to everyone who helped make the day a success!
