Jason Babcock MSN, ENP, RN, EMTP-LP, CFRN

Jason brings a deep well of experience to our organization, with 30 years as a paramedic, 8 years as a flight nurse, and 20 years as a trauma nurse practitioner. He’s married with two grown boys and recently made the move to Michigan, where he’s been enjoying the outdoors and especially time in the UP! When he’s not working, you’ll find Jason woodworking, tackling house projects, working out and doing CrossFit, hiking, snow skiing, or getting outside whenever he can.

Jason says it best:
“For me, prehospital medicine has always been more than a job, it’s a passion. Being there when people need help the most, working alongside others who care just as deeply, and knowing we’re making a real impact is what drives me. The relationships built along the way mean everything to me. At the end of the day, it’s about all of us showing up as the best versions of ourselves and making a difference together.”

We had the pleasure of welcoming Bay College EMT and Paramedic students to the Guardian Flight hangar! 🚁

Students got hands-on with airway skills, practiced intubations, explored our aircraft, and learned what goes into critical care transport. They even had the chance to experience night vision goggles (NVGs) and see how we operate in low-light environments.

Each shift begins with our medical crew completing detailed bag, aircraft, and equipment checks. Every piece of equipment is physically touched and inspected to ensure it’s ready, charged, and functioning properly. This process ensures we’re prepared to respond when our community needs us, no matter what the day brings!

Members of our base are proud to support our local food banks this holiday season and want to make giving as convenient as possible. We’ve added another drop-off location at the front of the building, across from the emergency department entrance. The gate is open, and you’ll find a collection bin near the door. We invite our community to join us in helping those in need!
