I didn't get to post this yesterday at the Lawrence farmers market as there was a lot of traffic.
This was the first market sharing the stall with Big Blue stem farm.

Still making products for the farmer's market tomorrow. I make a tattoo balm that is really great! Tested by people I know who have tattoos. I love the art but can't ever figure out what I want.
Iwas just appalled that folks were putting petroleum products on basically an open wound . I don't put plantain which I have seen in some tattoo herbal balms. It's a drawing agent... doesn't make sense to me. This is good to support healing, help pain and keep the color bright. I will have a few at the Lawrence farmers market 4/11 if you're interested 😊

Well I planted 300 plus bulbs. The first round of daffodils got froze out. This round of daffodils look good but my tulips are stunted. No rain and too hot. They would have been so much more beautiful if they weren't so short.
Well hopefully the weather next year will make this look so much better. Ugh Kansas weather 😞

Well the winter wind is blowing in! I went out and harvested as many star magnolia flowers as I could reach. Tomorrow they will all be gone.
I was hoping for a large harvest this year with all the blooms coming on. I won't have much of the vinegar but I will have a limited batch.
I soak the petals in white balsamic vinegar and add cardamom pods. It makes a lovely vinegar.
Maybe the pink magnolia will still bloom after this cold snap as she hasn't bloomed yet. Fingers crossed 🤞

Well my front garden is bursting. And all those 350 bulbs are coming up in the front lawn, some of the daffodils are blooming. I was looking forward to the lawn being full of daffodils and tulips.

New Adventures

So today I am finally moving my herbal adventures forward. With fear and excitement I am proceeding with a new journey in my herbal passion. I am starting this page and have a wonderful woman friend who is helping organize my website.

I will be sharing my love/passion of making and using products from the wonderful world of plants. Like Alice in Wonderland I have gone down the rabbit hole. I am immersed in a world of marvels and wonders brought by the plant people.
