Willow Care

Willow Care Willow Care is a local, women-owned senior-living advisor agency (*sometimes called senior care agents or senior referral companies).

Offering free assistance in finding the best senior-community for you or your loved one in Eugene/Springfield area. I am a native Oregonian; I grew up in Eugene and have my Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and Promotion from Oregon State University. I have worked in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities in Admissions, as Director and Sales Associate. I am the owner of Willow Care Consulting, doing what I enjoy best. Helping families in stressful times know their options so that a clear path emerges, solutions are found, and families are calmer and less overwhelmed. I bring with me a knowledge of the industry and compassion in working with my clients. I am on the Alzheimer’s Association Walk Committee. I was their Chairperson for the 2014 and 2015’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s. I am also a member of Southtowne Rotary, since 2017. For the past past 8 years, I have co-facilitated a 10-week Memory Loss Series class for those with dementia and their care partners. I help teach classes, but mostly I learn along with the attendees from the experts we bring in (e.g., elder law attorney's, Geriatric Nurse practitioners and more). I also enjoy teaching at a variety of other organizations in town, including for the Alzheimer's Association and hospice.

We walk this journey with our clients...

"Thank you for your amazing help in placing our parents. You were with me every step of the way for almost three years, far beyond the call of duty. My mom would never have been accepted into Assisted Living without your help...they have adapted much better than we could have ever imagined. It is such a load off my mind to know she is safe and well supervised. Thank you so much for everything".

I support families far after placement into a community. Jen's mom, whom I placed into a memory care community over a year ago, had to make the hard decision of choosing hospice over surgery. Jen called -- we discussed the issues and the questions to ask. She felt better prepared when talking to the community, nurses, and physicians. We are honored to help in any way we can, and appreciate her kind words back to us.

I helped a client find a new home, she was a successful, professional woman all her life, but had a mental breakdown in her 60's. We never know how we will touch people --her daughter shared the following with me...

"Something I've thought about a few times, and have learned from you indirectly. My mom was a little quirky out of the hospital but it was so neat, you didn't even bat an eye at it. Instead, you looked her in the eyes, hugged her back when she hugged you, laughed at her eccentric jokes, and made her feel like a human. I'm not sure I'll forget watching you guys hug outside that long term facility in South Eugene! At first I was so annoyed with my mom, but then you embraced her and genuinely smiled."
