Your Rights and Protections Against Surprise Medical Bills When you get emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from balance billing. In these cases, you shouldn’t be charged more than your plan’s copayments, coinsurance and/or deductible. What is “balance billing” (sometimes called “surprise billing”)? When you use your health insurance to see a doctor or other health care provider, you may owe certain out-of-pocket costs, like a copayment, coinsurance, or deductible....

As we Stay Home for Nevada, all therapy, evaluation, supervision, consultation, and coaching appointments with me will continue to be conducted by telehealth through April 30, 2020. The State of Nevada has extended all emergency actions to mitigate spread of Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) until the end of April, while directing state residents to stay home. Accordingly, I will continue following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and ethical best practices of the American Psychological Association for everyone's safety during the ongoing pandemic. In light of the extraordinary situation that we are facing with the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, I have decided that it is in everyone’s best interest to temporarily move all client appointments to an online (telehealth) format through April 6, 2020. I have based this decision on our national state of emergency, disturbing growth curve models of the outbreaks, varied orders to cease non-essential business operations in Reno, rapidly changing exposure precaution guidelines, advice from my colleagues across the nation, increasing travel uncertainty, and my own pre-existing health circumstance. Our Story

I am a Clinical Psychologist licensed in Nevada and California with over 25 years of specialized education, training, and experience in providing psychological services to individuals, couples, groups, and organizations. I specialize in creating safe, supportive relationships in which individuals and couples are welcomed to embark upon their own unique adventures toward greater freedom, connection, and fulfillment.

I work primarily with adults, young adults, and couples. My approach to individual psychotherapy is evidence-based, relational, and psychoanalytically informed. I have completed Level 3 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I have special interests in group dynamics, personality theory, and clinical training.

I treat people, not problems. My approach is one that custom-tailors your treatment, rather the one-size-fits-all variety. I view each individual as a complex whole of unique experiences within innumerable social contexts, rather than a diagnosis or cluster of symptoms. As a next step on your journey, I invite you to explore my website for more information on my professional background, as well as my psychological evaluation; individual and couples therapy; and, organizational and clinical consultation services throughout California and Nevada via Telehealth. Local offices are also available in the Las Vegas area of Southern Nevada's Clark County and the Reno - Sparks area of Northern Nevada’s Washoe County.
