** Beginning 11/30/25, we will no longer be open on Sundays. We do not offer appointments by phone or in person. We are open every day of the year from 9AM to 4:30 PM to evaluate and treat non-life-threatening conditions that still need urgent attention. If you or somebody around you is experiencing a life-threatening condition, call 911 or go to the emergency room. For preventative care and/or management of chronic illnesses, see your primary care provider. In an effort to make health care more accessible, we offer a significantly discounted self-pay option. This option is ideal for those who are not covered by an accepted insurance listed on our site or not having out of network coverage. If you are not sure of your coverage or are traveling out of network, please contact your insurance company. We unfortunately not in network with Partnership Health Plan, Medical or Medicaid at this time. Patients without insurance or those with out of network insurances may utilize our self pay price options with consultations for $99 upfront. Holiday Hours 9am-4:30pm: New Year's Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve. We will be closed Christmas day.

We have multiple openings for medical assistants within our busy acute care clinic!

Available Positions:

-Medical Assistant (2):

Friday and Saturday 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (26-32 hours total)

-Medical Assistant (1):

Friday 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (16-20 hours total)

**Additional shifts will be available on a per-diem basis with the possibility of moving to full time in the future.

Job Types: Part-time, per diem
Pay: From $23.00 per hour, DOE

To be a part of our team, candidate must be proactive, upbeat, and work well with others. Candidate must be a patient-oriented individual with superb customer service skills and attention to detail. Candidate must have strong values, accountability, and a drive to learn.

This role requires familiarity with computers. This role requires occasional (light to moderate) lifting up to 50 pounds.

Candidate requirements:

-1 year minimum experience as a medical assistant
-Injections certification or 1 year minimum experience with
injections through a previous clinic
-CPR / BLS Certification
-1 year minimum experience in clinical medical assisting, certification not required.
-Proof of vaccination: Covid-19, TDAP, Flu, MMR, Varicella, and Hep B vaccinations are required for all staff per the state of California. TB screening dependent upon questionnaire.

Medical assistant responsibilities include:

-Rooming patients and taking vital signs
-Documenting patient histories on Electronic Medical Records
-Collecting specimens for lab work
-Cleaning patient areas and unloading inventory
-Answering phones and working the reception desk
-Giving test results and medical advice under the supervision and -direction of a licensed medical provider.
-Assisting medical providers with procedures within California's Scope of Practice
-Helping create the best walk-in medical service Humboldt County can provide in a rapidly evolving small business.

We are open for sports physicals for grades K-12 and college sports physicals 7 days a week on a walk in basis. We do not schedule appointments. Don't have your paperwork? No problem! We've got you covered.

Sports physicals for grades K - 12 are $50, and college sports physicals are $125.
