Just a PSA: I've been doing this for a long time, I'm in my fourteenth year. I know the lingo crusty people try to use to insinuate things other than the legitimate massages I offer. You can't trick me into doing something inappropriate. And you can't offer me enough money for me to compromise the integrity of myself or my business. And I will laugh at you for asking. And if you keep insisting I will blast you publicly.

I have been hearing a lot of good things in the treatment room lately! One of the things I've heard a few times is how my clients don't feel greasy when they leave. I, myself, hate feeling like I've just been deep fried after a massage. I just don't like the feeling on my skin.

Another thing that I absolutely love hearing and have heard quite a few times recently is how amazed people are that I get results without making them feel beat up! It's like some kind of programming that we've been taught that massage has to hurt to be effective and I'm out here trying to turn that message on its head. You will feel better, you'll know I'm working on you, but you won't feel like you just got hit by a bus.

We all know the cost of everything is going up. Inflation is a bitch. I might not offer the cheapest treatments but there's a reason why it's so hard to get an appointment: my clients get RESULTS.

While this is not a typical outcome, some have even been able to lessen some prescription medications by getting massage regularly. (And if this is a result you're interested in PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consult with your doctor before doing it, I alone cannot and will not tell you to stop or reduce any of your meds!)

We are go-go-go all the time, and our nervous system takes a major toll for that. Massage helps calm the nervous system. It helps you feel in your body again. I hear it a lot: "I didn't even know that hurt until you touched it" As a society, we are so starved of human touch in a healing way.

Making connections with my clients is something I do best. That personal connection paired with my knowledge and intuitive touch make for an experience you won't find anywhere else, and that's why people seek me out and stay with me.

So, yeah, you can find a cheaper massage. Maybe a Groupon deal if you're lucky. And if that's what you're looking for? I totally encourage you to do whatever you need to do to give your body (and mostly your nervous system) what it needs to function even better.

This is me and my (now passed) dog, Moose, 12 years ago when I was digging the little trench for his electric fence. I was four-legged mom long before I became a two-legged one. I know the pains and joys of both.

You wanna come in and talk about how your dog has destroyed all your furniture and has taken a toll on your shoes? Samesies. I'll tell you how I got my dog to chew on his own stuff.

Are you emotionally drained because your velcro kid won't even give you 30 seconds to p**p by yourself? Let's commiserate on it because, also same.

We're all out here living life for the first time and getting the human experience with no rule book and only our morals and values to guide us. To be honest, it's rough out here. If the only thing you did today was survive, I'm proud of you.

I'll be here, waiting, ready to listen to all the s**t you need to say without judgment. I'll be here, waiting, ready to hold space if all you need is just one damn hour of peace and quiet without somebody else constantly needing you. And like, your aches and pains will be less too, which is pretty cool.
