PET scan from today is IN and here’s the breakdown:

•Both lung masses were successfully removed — the tiny bit of uptake they see is just postsurgical healing, not cancer.
•The pleural effusion got a little bigger, but it’s showing low uptake, which means it does NOT look malignant and can be drained if needed.
•And the best part… there is NO new FDG-avid disease anywhere.

In simple terms: NOTHING on this scan shows new cancer, progression, or recurrence.
💛🙌🏽🙏🏽 Ya boy is officially cancer-free again.
Should we go ahead and ring the bell or what? 🔔😅

Next steps:
We’ll be starting a clinical trial at Montefiore — this one is designed to go after any hidden or dormant cells that can’t be seen on scans. It’s a preventative therapy, about 2 years long, with the goal of making sure we never face another relapse again. Last time, Key was cleared for 16 months before the cancer returned. This time we’re praying, manifesting, and believing for no more recurrences. 🙏🏽💛

Doc said I’m getting too skinny, my stitches from my port are coming out from under my skin. He suggests we take it out to prevent infection or major complications.

Any tips on bulking up??? Chemo changed the way ensure taste, so that’s a no.

What’s scarier than having scans on Halloween?

Answer: having to wait for them. 😬

So I had scan and the results are in just waiting on the doctors to read them.

• From what my mom read •
Everything they’re seeing is consistent with healing and stable postsurgical changes — no sign of new or growing cancer in this report.
The surgery area is healing. No new tumors or suspicious findings are mentioned. The right lung scarring and left-side sutures are stable.
