Goodbye 2025.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, poured into families, and poured into each other. Because of you, no one fought alone ❤️🐾

There is a parent somewhere right now sitting in a stiff hospital recliner, staring at monitors, holding their breath, and wondering how life shattered so completely in one conversation.

At Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer, we meet these parents almost every single day. Moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers who just heard the words no one is ever prepared to hear. And one thing we know for sure is this:
they feel less alone when they hear from someone who has been here before.

So we want to invite you into this sacred space.

If you could go back and gently take your own hand in week one of your child’s diagnosis
what would you tell yourself?

What truth kept you standing
What advice became your lifeline
What would you whisper to the parent who may be reading this right now beside their child’s hospital bed

Please leave a comment below.
Your words may be the very thing that helps someone through today.

As 2025 comes to a close, families are still pacing cold hospital hallways; childhood cancer doesn’t pause for the holidays.

Because of your generosity, Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer has been able to show up with Hospital Survival Wagons, comfort, and a connection to real support when families need it most.

If you’ve been considering an end of year gift, now is the time. Your donation is tax deductible and directly helps us continue serving families across Northern California.

Let’s finish this year strong and step into the next one with hope.

Christmas Eve looks different for many of the families we serve. ❤️‍🩹
🏥Hospital rooms instead of living rooms.
🚨Beeping machines instead of carols.
🫂Parents holding everything together while their child fights the hardest battle of their life.

✨Christmas Eve is a reminder that light and hope for a bright future can arrive even in the darkest places.
For many of the families we serve this night is spent in hospital rooms holding hope alongside fear and sorrow.

Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer exists for nights like this.
For the moments when comfort matters.
When support matters.
When someone needs to know they are seen and carried through.

From our Mama Bear hearts to yours we are sending love strength and peace this Christmas Eve. 🐾🎗️🎄⛪️

There’s only a few hours left of this giving Tuesday! Please visit the link in our stories or our website, www.mbfcc.org to join us on a mission where not one newly diagnosed pediatric cancer family in Northern California will go unequipped to live in the hospital this holiday season. Many are showing up to their local ER right now, thinking their child has a cold or small bump and will find out before the clock strikes midnight that their child has cancer. Help us to help them today.

Time to get in line!!!

We will be out at Ruhstaller Farm this Thursday, Dec 4, 5:30- 10 PM

Ruhstaller Farm will open early for you to grab a drink, get dinner from Tapps Kitchen, and hang out with your friends or meet some new ones.

Beginners get there early as we warm up with fun and easy to learn while the music is playing at 5:30 PM.

We will have three formal lessons. One beginner lesson at 6 PM, an improver lesson at 7 PM, and an intermediate review lesson at 8 PM. We will be reviewing Liquor Talking for 20 minutes only. Please note that Liquor Talking takes advanced dancers about 45 minutes to learn. If you didn’t take our full lesson on Nov 20th, please watch and learn from the video added to the comments below.

You may pay your $5 in cash or venmo the night of the dance. We will be raising money for Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer.

Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer provides parents and caregivers of children fighting cancer with hospital survival wagons and clinic carts. The items included in their wagons and carts are essential items that veteran mama bears have identified as crucial and necessary to care for a child during hospital stays, clinic visits and caring for their child at home. This support eliminates the immediate financial and practical burden so many families face when the focus should be solely on the child.

Ruhstaller Farm is fun whether you dance or not bring your whole crew!

All ages welcome.

Strength in Motion ✨

We are honored to share a recent news story featuring Brady Emery, son of MBFCC co-founder Jill Putnam. Brady continues to display heart, grit and courage, years after finishing treatment for B-cell leukemia.

Brady was diagnosed with cancer back in junior high, and for years he has fought this disease with a determination that inspires every family we serve. He’s not just beating the odds…he’s out there kicking them straight through the goal posts! 🏈🏟️🏆

Now a powerhouse placekicker for Clayton Valley High and heading to college this fall, Brady is living proof that hope is not passive. It’s loud. It’s fierce. It’s relentless.

And behind him, every step of the way, is his incredible mom, Jill Putnam — a true Mama Bear who embodies strength, advocacy, and unwavering love.

Brady, we’re so proud of you. Thank you for reminding the world what childhood cancer survivors can grow into: leaders, athletes, and bright futures in motion. 💛🎗️
