This recognition celebrates Dr. Silk’s decades of unwavering compassion, clinical excellence, and lifelong commitment to giving every baby the strongest possible beginning. FNA is grateful for our more than 50-year partnership with Inova and the privilege of caring for newborns and their families. The naming of the NICU at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital reflects the strength of our collaboration and a shared commitment to serving our community’s most vulnerable patients.

Trained at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Inova Children’s Hospital, she brings a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to pediatric care, with advanced education in lactation and breastfeeding.

Since 1973, Fairfax Neonatal Associates (FNA) has been at the forefront of neonatal care in Northern Virginia. Beginning with a seven-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Fairfax Hospital, our dedication to the tiniest patients has grown into the region’s most comprehensive NICU, now spanning 108 beds at Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital.

From those early days to expanding services across Inova Fair Oaks, Inova Loudoun, and Inova Alexandria Hospitals, our journey reflects a commitment to excellence, innovation, and the families we serve. At FNA, every small life matters and our history is built on delivering care that makes a lasting impact.

With over 65 active professionals, the team at FNA is devoted to providing excellent quality of care to families in the Northern Virginia area.
