Mindful Movement with Alli I am a 200-hour certified Hatha yoga teacher offering virtual yoga as well as private practices for individuals and groups.

I focus on mindful movement, breathwork, meditation, and yogic living for all bodies.

This has been pulling at my heart for a while now…

Before I was a yoga teacher, before I was a mom, before I was a wife… I was a 𝙧𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧.

I’ve never shied away from big goals. In my mid-twenties I impulsively signed up for my first half marathon, never having run a race of any distance as an adult. I caught the running bug as I crossed that finish line.

I went on to finish 5 half marathons, a full marathon (26.2 miles!), as well as countless other road and trail races by the time I turned 30.

After becoming a mom, my running dwindled down to virtually nonexistent. I’d run one race per year, the 3.5 mile Corporate Challenge, until 2018. Since then running has largely been left in my past.

Then last month on vacation I proposed an idea to my family — that we run a self-timed 5k on an island in the Bahamas just for fun. The Disney Castaway Cay 5k reignited my passion for running and reminded me why I loved it so much.

That spark of passion triggered an idea, which turned into a dream, which is now a plan. Finishing a Run Disney event has always been on my bucket list, and is something I will finally do this November at the Disney Wine & Dine 10k and Half Marathon!

It’s time to lace up the running shoes and start the wild ride of running, training, and racing again. This time with even more amazement and joy for all the things this body of mine is capable of! 🏃🏼‍♀️

And friendly closing reminder: there is no pace, distance, size, or other requirement to be a runner. If you run, you’re a runner! 👏🏻

I absolutely love teaching yoga, but I do find sometimes that my personal practice takes a back seat. Tonight I enjoyed flowing on my own, for me, just for fun. And I freaking loved it. 💖

After our gentle yoga practice this week I offered a short meditation for taking action using the mantras above. The meditation is from Rebekah Borucki’s “You Have 4 Minutes to Change Your Life” - I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to add meditation into their daily life. 🧘🏼‍♀️
