We’re so excited to be growing and know you may have some questions. Here are a few we’ve been hearing most often:

WHERE WILL THE NEW OFFICE BE LOCATED?
Our new office will be in Edinboro, next to the YMCA on Route 6N—just minutes from I-79.

WHEN WILL THE NEW OFFICE OPEN?
Construction is expected to begin next month. We’ll continue to share updates along the way and will let you know well in advance of our official opening date. Our goal is January of 2027.

WILL THE FAIRVIEW AND PLUM STREET OFFICE IN EDINBORO BE CLOSING?
Yes. Once our new office is complete, all patient care will transition to our new Edinboro location so we can better serve everyone in one larger space.

WHY ARE YOU MAKING THIS MOVE?
We’ve simply outgrown our current offices. By combining into one larger location, we’ll have more exam rooms, improved parking, more seating, and the ability to expand our services.

WILL MY PROVIDER STILL BE THERE?
Yes! Dr. Zaycosky, along with our PAs (Charity, Gene, and Katie) and our staff, will all be together in the new location.

WILL YOU STILL OFFER THE SAME SERVICES?
Absolutely—and more. Our new office will include dedicated space for Mohs surgery, cosmetic treatments, and general dermatology.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes! One of our biggest goals with this move is to provide easier, more accessible parking for our patients.

IS IT DIFFICULT TO GET TO?
Not at all. Our new location is just 3 minutes from I-79 and is a quick drive for many of our patients in the Erie area.

If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help!

Thank you for your continued support. We’re so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to welcome you to our new space.

We have big and exciting news!
Live Oak Dermatology is building a new home.
While we’ve truly loved serving patients in both our Fairview and Edinboro offices, we’ve outgrown our current spaces—especially when it comes to parking, seating, and exam rooms. To better care for our patients and continue growing, we’ve made the decision to bring everything together under one roof.
Construction is expected to begin next month on our new, larger office in Edinboro, conveniently located next to the YMCA on Route 6N.
We know that for some, the idea of traveling to Edinboro may feel like a big change. However, our new location is just minutes from I-79 and remains a quick and easy drive for many of our patients.
This new space will allow us to expand our services, including dedicated areas for Mohs surgery, cosmetic treatments, and general dermatology—all in one place. Dr. Zaycosky, along with our PAs (Charity and Gene Snyder and Katie Troutman) and our incredible staff, will be able to serve you more efficiently and comfortably.
We are so grateful for the trust and support we’ve received from our patients across Erie County and beyond. The warm welcome we’ve experienced has meant so much to us.
We’re happy to be here—and even more excited to continue growing with all of you.

Skin cancer can be overwhelming, and understanding your treatment options truly matters.

Mohs surgery is a highly specialized procedure used to treat certain types of skin cancer. It removes cancer layer by layer, with each layer examined under a microscope in real time. This precise approach ensures all cancer cells are removed while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible—resulting in the highest cure rates and the smallest possible scars.

It’s important to know: not all surgeons who treat skin cancer are trained in Mohs surgery. Mohs surgeons have advanced, specialized training focused specifically on removing skin cancer with precision while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. While plastic surgeons use wide margins for safety, this approach can lead to more noticeable scarring than Mohs surgery and carries a higher risk of leaving residual cancer.

In our experience, some patients come to us after previous treatment still seeking complete cancer removal or hoping to improve their cosmetic outcome. Starting with the most precise, specialized approach can make a meaningful difference in both.

Dr. Zaycosky performs both the cancer removal and the reconstruction himself, allowing for a seamless approach focused on complete treatment and the best possible cosmetic outcome—all in one place—so you can leave with confidence knowing your cancer has been fully treated.

Dr. Zaycosky is board-certified and has performed thousands of Mohs surgeries. His focus is always the same—completely removing the cancer while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible and achieving the best cosmetic outcome. Just as importantly, he genuinely cares about each and every patient he treats.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with skin cancer, choosing the right specialist can make all the difference. We’re here to help guide you every step of the way.

Our 2-year anniversary snuck up on us last month!

We opened our doors on February 14, 2024, with Dr. Zaycosky and a team of five. In just two years, we’ve grown to include three additional providers — Charity Snyder, Gene Snyder, and Kaitlyn Troutman — along with an incredible team of 14 employees.

We’re so grateful to be serving Erie County and the surrounding communities, providing Mohs surgery and general dermatology to our patients.

A huge thank-you to our amazing staff and providers who make this possible every day, and to our wonderful patients for trusting us with your care. We truly appreciate your support over the past two years!

And yes — we are still accepting new patients!

If you're in one of our offices this month, you'll see we have amber lights displayed along with some information on appendix cancer. August is appendix cancer awareness month - check out the website for more information about this rare form of cancer.

August is Appendix Cancer Awareness Month - a whole month dedicated to shining a light on this rare and often overlooked disease. Why? Because appendix cancer is on the rise, and greater awareness means more support, more research, and more hope for new treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

This year, Pseudomyxoma Survivor the Appendix Cancer PMP Research Foundation, PMP Pals Appendix Cancer Network, Abdominal Cancers Alliance, Association contre les maladies rares du péritoine, and Asociación Peritoneum stand together to increase understanding and support for people affected by appendix cancer and the related condition pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP).

Amber is the official color of Appendix Cancer Awareness. It represents the courage, strength, and resilience of patients, caregivers, and families facing this challenging diagnosis.

By uniting our voices and sharing knowledge across our platforms, we can reach more people and build a stronger community. Together, we are louder, braver, and more determined than ever.

Join us this August to spread awareness, honor those impacted, and push for progress in the fight against appendix cancer.
