When children are not safe and do not reach their mothers’ care, they can unconsciously develop a need to sacrifice themselves to ensure their belonging. This leads them to form blind loyalties to their parents and ancestors who are excluded. As a result, these individuals atone for past actions, hold pain for others, or take on another's fate, unconsciously thinking, “Better me than you.” This lifelong pattern of heroic sacrifice can lead to despair, isolation, and rage. They may become caretakers to family, friends, and co-workers, but they can also feel burdened, resentful, and unseen. Despite their efforts, they are unable to let go of their blind loyalties or feel a sense of belonging or safety. In this webinar we will talk about this hidden family dynamic and have a brief experience that helps us understand it more fully.
Barry Krost is a Family Constellations Facilitator and Trainer with over 42 years’ experience as a Bodywork and Energy Healing Practitioner. He begin his journey with Family Constellations in 2003. He offers Family Constellations workshops, trainings, professional certification and private sessions internationally both online and in person. He also holds degrees in Anthropology and History.
